nice video, love your camp. deer camp- thats what makes the hunt great. cherish those times at deer camp with your dad, i miss that a lot we lost him 16 yrs ago, i try my best to keep the camp going on his behave, we may not always get deer, but we still have a great time, and that to me is what it's all about. thanks for taking us along and sharing it with us.
New Sub. Just found your channel, thanks for letting me trail along to deer camp with you’all. I live and hunt in WV. No wolves but plenty of yotes. Was just wondering if the Wolves are a problem in central MN as they are up north and the UP of MI. Could be some of the reason for deer scarcity. Great deer camp.
Hey thanks for checking it out! Wolves have definitely been on the rise in our area, but talking with a guy that had 20+ trail cams up said hed only had one wolf on camera in the 6 months leading up to opener but had Coyotes every day. We had a couple pretty bad winters so I'm assuming it's been a mix of predators and cold winters with lots of snow that's driving down in deer numbers. We've hunted the same area for decades and it always goes in cycles like this.
Nice video. It looks like the old clear cuts are growing up so there’s less browse for the deer. Is this your land or public? It might be worth it to go into a few areas and knock down some areas to provide new browse.
Yeah then you need to hunt newer cuts. I used to stick to the older cuts that I was used to hunting but, the deer definitely will move to newer cuts. Good luck this fall.
