Yep, and it’s still very active. I’ve freshened the site, adding more, every couple months. We’ve had a very wet winter, and the last time I checked the site, they’ve hit it so hard, that it looked like a small pond in the middle of the woods. I’m going to keep it going and do a full year review/update video (probably towards the end of this summer/early fall) where I analyze the whole year to see if certain conditions were better than others? For instance Summer vs Winter? So far I’ve been impressed because I’d heard that these minerals were best for hotter months only, but so far that doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case…. 👍😁

It works. I tried it when I got it on clearance. I poured it over my homemade mineral mix. I've since moved on to making my own to pour over my mineral mix. Cheaper and it works. You can make your own version of this as well.

That’s awesome! What’s your recipe? I’m always interested to try new things, especially DIY baits, etc. Totally cool if it’s a “secret recipe” and you don’t want to share it! But I am curious…. These jugs are around $12 at the Cabela’s I go to, so their not too expensive. Thanks for watching!!👍😁

@@TNTOutdoors4U Look up NB Wildman "Wild Berry Buck Jam". I omit the washing soda and instead of water I use Hawaiian Punch that I boil down by half. They HAMMER it! My mineral mix is just 1 part cattle mineral (use the one with the highest phosphorus you can find), 1 part fine stock salt (white) to 2 parts trace mineral salt (red salt). I work that into the ground and pour the DIY Jam over it. I have pictures of deer staying on it for 20-30 minutes and I had a group hanging around for almost an hour.

@@pensnut08 Just checked it out, very cool, thanks! Similar to some DIY recipes I like to make primarily for Hogs, but deer like it too. I usually mix with corn but I like the idea of making a jam to pour over stumps, etc. I think I’ll have to tweak one of my favorite recipes into more of a Jam and try it out! Got me all excited now! Thank you!!👍😁

@@JDStaffylover man that sucks. What region of the country are you in? I’m wondering if different areas may have different results, for instance if your area is more rich in minerals and may have more readily available natural mineral sites. Did you have trail cams on the sites? Because honestly, the site really doesn’t look disturbed or the ground torn up like I was expecting, it’s kinda strange. Even the hogs aren’t rootin up the ground and tearing it up like other types of bait sites. Thanks for watching! 👍😁

@@whitetailwarriorsdeercamp88 Hog huntin’s a blast, and they taste damn good too. We’ve got a ton of ‘em. I have kind of a Love/Hate feeling about ‘em. While they definitely are an invasive species that are wreaking havoc on native wildlife, farms, and even residential areas in some cases down here; I really like having something you’re allowed to hunt 24/7, 365 days a year, by pretty much any means necessary! I just finished my new DIY Hog trap, hopefully I’ll have a video up about it soon if I can trap some before deer rifle season starts first weekend of Nov. Probably won’t do too much Hog trapping during deer season. Thanks again!

"Snake oil"?? In states with higher standards it's illegal to hunt deer over bait!!
@TNTOutdoors4U
@TNTOutdoors4U 11 месяцев назад
Not sure I’d categorize this stuff as “snake oil” as it does appear to be working, at least for us on our property. Posted my “Full-Year product test/review” video a on this Deer Cane a few days ago, and the product is pretty impressive, so far, in my opinion. Yes, some states may consider this baiting and some states do have laws limiting or even prohibiting baiting. But not here in TX, so we’re ok to use this product if we want. Thanks for watching!👍😁

Thanks for watching! Yep, been pretty active. I’ve got several updates in the description. I heard that it was best in the warmer months too, so I’m running it all year to see for sure (at least in our area). I need to add a more recent update. But so far, it has surprisingly remained very active! Except I’m noticing about a 1-2 week lull period every time I “freshen” the site and add more product. I’m planning on releasing a full-year review “update” video with my entire years worth of findings/results - probably be released towards the end of summer.
