(8/12/24) The fawns continue to get to know each other and their fathers and aunts. In this video, Virginia shows up with her tiny fawn. So happy to see them both. Virginia’s fawn makes that little “mew” sound. She’s so sweet. I love to see this larger group but I’m not sure how long it will last. It’s beautiful now under cloudy skies and an almost full moon at the end. 🦌🌿🌝

Mother est très heureuse d'avoir auprès d'elle ses deux petits faons cette année ! Elle se sent moins seule ! Virginia et son petit faon sont adorables ❤ ! Je ne sais pas si c'est le petit de Virginia qui a reçu un coup de patte 🐾de Little Buck ? mais c'est triste de voir cela 😪 ! Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les cerfs et les biches chassent les petits faons qui sont adorables ! C'est un grand mystère! Little Buck semble très charmant aves ses biches 😀❤! Cela dit, beau ciel nuageux ☁️ et belle lune 🌕 dans la nuit 🌌 avec la musique 🎶 des chants des grillons et criquets 🦗 ! J'adore ❤ ! 🌕🌌🌕🌌🌕🌌

That was White Ears delivering that bop to Virginia’s little fawn. You can always tell White Ears from Little Buck by that one split point on his right antler. I don’t know why the deer act like that with the little fawns. They’re very particular about their food and how close others are to them. Sometimes they’re ok with it and there are tender moments, and sometimes they bop or worse. Everyone seems to have a go at Virginia so I guess her fawn is included in that. It upsets me. Between shots I’m berating them when they do that. There’s just no reason for it. It’s probably territorial to some extent. Virginia for some reason is not included with the herd and is considered somewhat of an outsider. But I love her and her tiny fawn and I make sure she gets grains and apples as she’s real hungry! Deer life is a mystery for sure. 🌿🌝🦌
