Deer Hunting the Rut in Kansas 

That's a huge 8! I'd be losing my mind holding that rack. Btw I hunted Michigan for 3 years and nothing. The only state I've ever hunted and not be successful. I won't waste my time up there anymore.

Va has been slow starting on the rut as well. Figured there would be alot of movement but barley any during daylight hours

Whats odd is back home in the Thumb of Michigan it was ok rut activity, but drive 9.5 hours south to IL and the bucks where in full blown rut frenzy. I dont know if doe density has alot to do with it. I almost had a 1 to 1 doe/buck ratio in IL where I hunted. Up home in MI its closer to 3 to 1 doe/buck. Also maybe density of mature deer vs immature. In IL I seen that the majority of my bucks where 2.5 years and older with some 5.5 and 6.5 year olds vs MI where 95% are yearlings

I hunt in Georgia where sometimes it will be 90 degrees during the time that is supposed to be the rut. You can imagine how little activity there is in 90 degree heat, and we still get it done here. Sit in one stand, or one state at bare minimum, and ride it out til they come out. I have killed deer in Kansas and Georgia.. sometimes it is not easy.

How did u get sponsored by realtree I mean like what steps did u take. B/c I have lots of land and some nice bucks. I bought a good camera and my buddy for a camera guy. I guess what I am asking is how do I get sponsored like u, maybe not as big as realtree but how do I get sponsored?

Hard to believe this guy has anything to do with Realtree, it doesn't add up. Doesn't seem to even understand deer hunting very well at all. It just doesn't make sense he would be part of them. I smell a rat, lol. I don't believe he is connected to the company...just a life long hunter listening to him talk...something is amiss.

why do people shake and speak rapidly like they were just in a car accident after they shoot a nice buck? I have shot many deer in Kansas, Georgia, Wisconsin. I have never got like that. Last year i shot a 140 in Kansas on private land and i just got out my tree and walked over, no big deal. I just love the outdoors and being in the hunt.
