​​@@gir_botthe masks never prevented anyone from receiving COVID. The reason everyone was pressured to wear one was the off chance that you might be a carrier without realizing it. Wearing a mask would diffuse your exhalations and decrease risk of concentrated virus being spouted directly in the face of other people in a short time and distance. Nobody avoided getting COVID because they sucked air in through a soggy mask. It only lowered the chances of transmitting it to others.

When so many people come from all over the world to breath and share the same stagnant air, that's an ideal environment to spread diseases. If you wear a mask like Cory did, like I should have, then you can be a part of helping prevent the spread of disease. I, along with many others, came back from the con this year with covid. I applaud Cory for setting a good example!

Yes, covid is still out there. I was at this talk, I wasn't wearing a mask and I came home with covid. Cory set a good example that very few people followed this year.

I bet Cory didn't come back from the con with covid like I and a bunch of other people did. He set a good example of what to do when you gather with tens of thousands of people coming from all over to gather in a huge room of stagnant air. I applaud Cory for being one of a handful of people I saw at the con wearing a mask. I wish I had followed his lead. Hard lesson learned.

Can you take a moment to analyze how ridiculous it is that you're being this triggered by someone wearing a mask and think about why that's happening. The problem isn't with him, it's with you, pal.

It's actually a misconception that masks protects the wearer, from covid, or most illnesses infact, it just protects everyone else from you if you have, or are carrying it (expectedly, or unexpectedly) Not to say you shouldn't wear one, everyone has the right to wear whatever they want (within a certain degree of decency), but you should know why you're wearing it, and not be mistaken.

It actually promotes the growth of covid/bacteria/ literally all types of contaminates due to the mask maintaining your mouth a dark humid place. Anything dark & humid is perfect for contamination growth. So you become a manufacturing plant of covid & youre spewing it out - spreading it absolutely everwhere - regardless if you have a stupid piece of cloth over your mouth thats supposed to 'magically' stop everything. :D

Here's the thing about distance, it doesn't protect you when you're in a huge room full of thousands of people and stagnant air. Cory wore a mask the whole time he was at the con. I only saw a handful of others who were wearing masks. I wasn't one of those so I came home with covid along with a bunch of others.
