DEF Filter! Freightliner cascadia 

Watched this, then went out to my truck and changed my own DEF filter. Info spot on!

I think that socket is actually a 1 13/16 socket, or a 46 mm . The bowl nut is slightly larger than a 1 3/4 which the next size up is a 1 13/16.

Thank you for this video. My filter was a lil different. I have a 2014 freightliner cascadia with a DD15. This is the part number filter that was for my truck A0001420289 And i use a 1 13/16 socket. And thanks to all of the comments. Sometimes the comments are more helpful than the videos.

my 2014 cascadia is 9/16 socket. and I had to use a pipe wrench. got it done it was very easy.

I got a low def quality code, changed it did a regen & was good to go.

Is 1 18/16” actually 2 1/8”?

What kind of lube that was you using in the spray bottle?

Is this to be replaced when? When you get a code? Every certain miles? How would you know its clogged?

I make these at my job. The oring and cup in the plastic cup is a foam in place process. These cups are a pain in the butt

Would a dirty filter possibly cause a eec61 4364 fail 18 and eec 3364 fail 2 error codes. Mechanic told me probably need to change inlet and outlet box sensor but thinking start with cheapest options first and work my way up.

Where do i get a 1-18/16 socket? Would you happen to have a link to where I can buy one?

Bro you’re supposed to lube filter oring with clean Def not the lube you get with the kit and this IS NOT DIY YOU HAVE TO PRIME DEF PUMP WITH DIAGNOSTIC LINK 8 after replacing filter
