@@barrackhussein464 the story ND gameplay I jus feel like it was a lil ahead of it's time it was that good of a game to where u wouldn't get bored playing it....cuz def jam icon was trash
Jared literally. But I just seen a comment saying that artist were paid horribly to say the least so I doubt anything like this would be sold in their likeness again. But I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞
Yeah, they even made their own blaze moves. There's a video of them being asked what their special move would be and I think I remember xzibit going on about how crazy his move was gonna be and they put it in.
@@southsidenative5814 idk if there a store like that where you at but where I am there a place that sells classic games all the way back to Atari but u can also find it on Ebay
I really hope they had good times voice acting in this game. The fact that EA probably paid them 2 cents per copy sold which is a $50 game, that must've been pretty insulting for them. I want to imagine Bonecrusher doing his blazin' move on one of the EA's dev teams for this type of scam haha.
@@True_Religions Haha I would pay 3 cents more than EA paid him to watch that video where Keith Murray beat the crap out of that guy haha, if there any.
Nah straight remake, everything stays the same except the graphics thats the only thing updated and maybe better cutscense if thats possible but just updated graphics are enough
@@assassinxhunter7941 its not the graphics its the fact they change everything besides just a visual upgrade, if they would just touch the graphics and nothing else it would probly be loved by fans even more but they always change shit but your right a remake would probly ruin it it just would sick asf to see that shit in 1080-4k
Tye J when it first came out it was really popular and is now considered a legendary game. There is a difference between being a head of its time and underrated. It was not underrated, people loved that game
Why underrated?? I'm from Brazil and even here this game was huge, everybody that had a ps2, this was a must buy... Legendary game... Now a days, there are no fight games like that..
This really makes me wonder if any of the artists/ actors still owns this game in their collection. You can tell they really had fun with this project.
Not gonna lie. For a Rapper Bonecrusher was scary looking back in the day lmao that never scared video really set the tone. He’s still a legend in my book
TJelly Man He was big , had the wild Afro , the deep wrestler like voice , the evil laugh , the crazy movements he did in the music videos & more importantly that “Never Scared” video with a name like “Bonecrusher” It wasn’t hard to be scared of him as a “KID” when stuff still seemed realistic lmao I use to think he was Andre The Giant size lmao just childhood things man
Can you imagine if they made a remake along with an online expansion pack, create your own character buy clothes and jewelry to fight online against others?! Mannnn I would buy that game in an instant!!!
The reason why DMX wasn't in this was because it's an interview he made and he mention that they didn't pay him enough on Def Jam Vendetta so he decided not to be on Fight For NY.
Freeway is literally wearing the same outfit in the voice acting like he does in the game even though he now lives over seas and now a Muslim he don't want to be part of the music anymore plus he mention that Jay Z treated him and his group wrong.
@@joshd007 But FFNY - sequel. Release Vendetta - 2003 Release FFNY - 2004. Continuation of FFNY - Def Jam ICON and this is a piece of shit that I do not even want to count as a game
Josh D Vendetta came *before* Fight for NY, and it was the first game in the Def Jam series. Vendetta (2003) - Decent Fight for NY (2004) - Legendary Icon (2007) - Trash
the fact that most characters have their own specific moves and voice lines and even songs and items is crazy way ahead of its time one of the best games of the 2000s deserves a remaster just needs online tbh
@@thatwilightzone4760 made up character for the bboy level ....notice how all the famous characters are real and all the unknown are voiced by random folks

@@shake_junt1344 so many epic titles man..... I'm just here to appreciate this sequel to Def Jam Vendetta 😏 but Chief's return was awesome CJ in 92 era GTA was awesome all are welcome in The House Of Games ✌💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
everyone saying we need a remaster, nah bro we need a FULL REMAKE. New gen graphics, better cutscenes, new voice acting, more fluid animations, etc. This game was AHEAD of it's time
Those my two favorite characters out of all the other fighters and I am bout to do sum crazy bro imm take me wayy back to 2004 and re buy this game again on Christmas day and a Xbox😭😂🤦🏻♂️
T Grizzley, Meek Mill, Kevin Gates, YG, The Game, Rick Ross, Eminem, Slim Thug, Zro, 50 Cent, Da Baby, 2 Chainz, TI, Chief Keef, Travis Scott, ASAP Mob etc. plenty of rappers that still put out music that could be on there. No lie I seen plenty videos of goofy niggas like Uzi and Tyler The Creator and all snuffing people lmao
Just remaster this on every console and add online...I’ll be fine with that. I WOULDNT CARE FOR A NEW STORY cause when they tried that umm we got Def Jam Icon
Facts i just want the same game with the graphics updated, thats so simple, they could use the same voicelines ect just make the graphics modern so we can see the black eye in 1080 and better
If they make a new Def Jam, they should follow Smash's model of character reveal trailers. And the 1st character reveal would be Michael Jai White as Bone with Black Dynamite as an alternate.
Joe Budden and Slick Rick trailers are my favorites and I was wondering where you went brother also I heard that the Take a Load Off by Bubba Sparxxx was supposed to be in the game but it was also cut. Plus are you still doing voice lines and environmental/crowd interactions? It’s good to see you’re back one looove
I think back then rappers didn’t care so much for money they just wanted to be part of a video game especially if the offer is coming from EA! Which had produced madden nfl & nba street at the time!! Let’s also not forget they were dominating the game with nba live
Must have been awesome to have all the current rappers and influencers at the time meet up to make a badass game. Cant recall a company doing anything remotely like this anytime recently. Everyone is just trying to steal the others idea and we're just playing the same battle royale game with a new skin. I am so grateful i grew up with a n64 and a ps2
I've love this game Miss my ps2,,,, 😢 But this year ain't stopping me playing this game cuz I already playing it on my Android device with the emulator ps2 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
NONE OF THESE LINES was used by these stars in the game WC blaze taunt yell blong to method man Slick Rick says "Ya career ends here" That belong to D-Mob "A matter of time you'll beg for this to end" belongs to Santos Sticky fingers doesn't have wrestling or martial arts in the game N.O.R.E also uses method man blazing taunt Babylon stage doesn't have 2 lights on the pillars.. Crazy legs spinning sweep is actually better in the alpha than it is in the actual game... it doesn't sweep in the real game
