After a few tries the Ancient Warden was finally defeated
Ancients are a faction in Everspace 2, only encountered in the form of hostile Ancient Wardens. One warden is fought during the main story. After completing the puzzles at Chabar Tower and opening the structure as part of X Marks the Spot, wardens can randomly jump in and ambush the player in any location.
Many locations in Everspace 2 have remnants of the Ancient civilization, including almost all sites in the Khaït Nebula. Most of their structures found are in a ruined form, but can be repaired using Ancient lenses or runes, often revealing Ancient jars with loot and rare resources.
