Magia Record magical girls: *tired, exausted* Homura: *Mortar/rpg volley, train with cannon, explosive truck, detonation of entire district with satchels*
A whole city of ~50+ magical girls put out all they had into fighting Walpurgisnacht and it still wasn’t enough which says something about the amount of strength Walpurgisnacht had to bear and shows that Homura never had a chance of beating it in any of the timelines. It basically took Ultimate Madoka giving a boost to the Kamihama girls for them to have a chance and even then it was still a struggle
Talking about quantum mechanics, too often what we call divine intervention is just plain luck, but as they said, Not only does Madokami definitely play dice, but She sometimes confuses us by throwing them where they can't be seen.
Plow plum I would disagree this shows how strong homera was as well because if homura was able to team up with the original gang and defeat whalpurgas sorce the official spinoff "homeras revenge" wich gives me a shit ton of respect for homera
Why didn't those magical girls call us Aepygigantogiraffas 🦒 and our god, the Great Giraffe 🦒 when they were fighting that witch ? Our god, the Great Giraffe 🦒, can finish Walpurgisnacht in one fell swoop.
@@geekylad8400 This Homura isn’t the one that’s been doing the loops, or at least not the same amount, it’s another universe in the multiverse where Madokami already exists.
Even with all its problems, I prefer the game's ending over the anime's since it's the only timeline where Homura can finally breathe. She can't relax in Rebellion since she'll have to actively make sure Madoka's memories don't resurface.
I hated it so much. That anime ending was garbage. They tried to do the what the original series died, except there was 0 pay off? All the deaths were meaningless, and nothing mattered. It was a waste of everyone's time. Maybe it could've been a little worth it had Ui at least come back to life, but no, she's gone too. So everything Iroha and team did, nothing.
Well, we still have Walpurgis no Kaito to go. This time it can’t be anything but happy ending. We already have 2 unsatisfied conclusions, there’s no way it will be bad or unsatisfied ending
@@literallyme6365 Walpurgis No Kaito isn’t Magia Record related though. Like yeah I’m sure it’ll finally have a happy ending, but Magia Record anime still ended garbage.
Who's here after watching the anime adaptation of what should have been them defeating Walpurgis but instead got dead magical girls and Homura traveling back in time again? Like, the anime made the ending very tragic..
i think the issue here is that... the whole purpose of Homura is to prevent Madoka from becoming a witch. This ending also continues the cycle that the girls will manifest grief and become a witch eventually. Whereas Madokami fixes the the issue...
@@frogradar I'm not sure about that but after the defeat of walpurgis the hospital trio still worked on the doppel system to help magical girls so it was a matter of time
@@frogradar well yes and no, if i remember correctly they are trying to extend the doppel system all across the world on Arc 2 without having to rely on Uwasas, so homura could succeed on this one And if i don't remember correctly, Madoka surviving isn't that hard anymore as the strongest witch is now dead, so they can live normally, as normally as a magical girl could live anyway
I know! I was looking at the thumbnail 3:02 and noticed all the glow effects as well as the pink rays from Iroha's arrow on her crossbow. It looks so cool! When I was playing, I was not expecting there to eventually be animation, so I started recording so I could always have it on my phone! Then I decided to put them all together and make this video! :)
@@larag9613 I mostly heard it from the psvita game since it shows Walpurgis' grief seed. I should've adressed the fact that it may not be fully cannon.
it took 30+ puella magi to fight walpurgis night, while homura was fighting it alone. Homura is surely the most badass and one of strongest puella magi only lose to mami, cause she has bandage/tape :v
The main weakness of homura is she lacks anything more powerful than what humanity is capable of since she has no real offensive magic of her own while those with offensive magic of their own can theoretically hit harder than what homura can procure
Fight her alone, yes, but none of her attacks were truly effective. It is said that Walpurgis Night is 100% immune to firepower (which includes explosions, fire, and presumably bullets), so she can only be harmed by magic. Aside from her time powers and ability to store things in a (presumably) infinite pocket of space, homura is completely powerless on her own against Walpurgis Night. Unless she fights with a group of other magical girls (like seen here), Homura will never be able to win. Thanks to homura though, madoka was given not only the power to stop Walpurgis Night, but enough power to blow her away in one hit. **One.** All that work those girls did in the magia record timeline? Yeah, madoka can do that by herself in a single instance. Absolutely insane.
@Aditya Alfarizqi Arifin When I said Walpurgis Night was immune to bullets, explosives, and other types of firepower, i mean't things created by man (not magical). Homura's magic ability is far weaker than the other magical girls to the point where she doesn't even get a weapon that can *attack* others, so she has to resort to manmade weapons like guns, bombs, missle launchers, etc. They might work on other witches, but not on Walpurgis Night, hence why unless she works with other puella magi who *do* have magical weapons that can attack others (which she does in the game, and doesn't in the anime), she is always doomed to fail. Not all 30+ puella magi fought her head on at first. Some used their magic to distract her and trick her into floating out to sea. Some more used their magic to tie her down, heal others, plan, etc. I cant recall exactly which puella magi attacked her directly, but it wasn't all of them *together*. They only managed to kill her once they *all* put their power together all at once.
I honestly like the idea that since this game is about multiple magical girls, that this cutscene is able to at least give us a small glimpse into what girls made Walpurgis.

Canon wdym? The game had a timeline where madokami could help a little and after that she could just observe it. Infinite iroha is also time travelling through periods of time.
After the final season. I can only say this was the ending we deserved. The point of this show was always that hope prevails and will survive no matter what
i kinda like the ending of the anime. it give a very somber mood on hope. no matter how hard you hope and wish, you’re not always gonna get what you want.
I agree! I didn't make sense to me that all these magical girls stop embryo eve but don't race to mitakihara to stop walpurgisnight. like it doesn't make sense
it's from the mobile game magia record !! unfortunately the English server was deleted so you would have to download the Japanese version of the app if you're interested in playing it
I feel very empty after watching the anime as I played the game to the very end in NA server and I was expecting the good ending.. I don’t know why but it felt so wrong for the quintet to fail and Homura having to reset the time again. I will admit that the animations in the anime are superior but I prefer the ending of the game. I don’t hate the anime I think it was decent but I felt so disappointed over (SPOILERS AHEAD) - Momoko and Mifuyu dying - Kuroe killing herself - Failing to save Ui - Homura having to reset because she failed to save the quintet and mostly Madoka also the fact she did not get her good ending - Walpurgisnacht going back to Mitakihara - We missed out on all the girls working together to beat Walpurgisnacht - Sakurako did not appear - Touka and Nemu sacrificing themselves but still fail to kill fused Alina Eve - We did not get to see the pretty pink feathers from Madokami’s intervention - The way they rushed the ending by killing off Alina Eve and Walpurgisnacht all in one go - We did not see the Holy Quintet in the final season There is so much more to mention but I don’t wanna make this a whole essay. And yes I know that if they tried to adapt every inch of the game it would be longer than 3 seasons and the animators are probably not willing to go that far for a spin-off series. This is just my opinion but with the ending of the anime the story and Iroha’s journey in looking for her missing sister felt pointless. Magia record was supposed to be more hopeful but it ended with more despair than hope. A lot of people would probably disagree with me and say that they prefer the anime ending and that’s okay. I just feel off with the way things were executed. Overall, I do not regret watching the anime. It has this bitter sweet feeling..
I understand you and I agree I would have preferred that they had a good ending like in the game almost all of them alive and with walpurgis dead also in the madokami scene you can see iroha's hands so you can guess that she died Even so, I believe and the most likely is that in the current line of rebellion all of them are still alive except for the three lolis from the hospital since in theory, although they do not exist burja but they can return, homura will be in charge of killing all the specters alone so the magical girls are not necessary
Kuroe's death is so deep because it shows that even if you try cheer up a friend, that doesn't mean she or he is going to change at all, and you make it feel even more sad, she's not in the game, so I'm ok with that But the girls not going to Mitakihara having it so close, doesn't make sense And having everyone alive should be the best because we know how suffering they have
@@y.2439 I am not saying that they have to intervene, I am saying that in their versions of rebellion they may be alive, although a question in the new world that homura created made all the magical girls alive?
SPOILERS They still would have lost, those feathers that rained down? That was Madokami. She has been watching this timeline since it started, and she decided to intervene at this moment so Homura and the others could finally have a chance to he happy. She can't interfere any longer, however. This timeline, this record would shatter if she tried, so this was her final gift them.
Can you help me understand? I just watched Magia Record S1, I can’t play the game bc it isn’t in English.. where exactly does side story fit in the original madokami universe ? While watching season 1, I thought I was watching some strange version of Homura’s new universe and I’m just so confused. I’ve been waiting for the last movie forever so side story is confusing me 😭
@@GaaraFan01 The Magia Record timeline is a singularity in Madokami's universe. It developed on its own through Homura's karma, albeit with a different result this time
@@misstrashtaker6787 That is amazing, I always wondered that if Madoka's karmic energy grew why didn't Homura's only to find out it became a singularity that was her happy ending
you realise that it is being made into a tv series (with 2 sesons already made and a 4 episode "season" coming out today)? and that this fight will most likely appear in todays episodes?
@@brakdanych4329 it didn't :/ the anime ending was much more depressing. And Homura going back in time implies that the Magical Quartet failed in taking down Walpurgis and were killed
@@General_Cno, this was already done, 1 year before the Magia Record anime was released. The director said he just wanted to make a despair ending to "respect the essence of the franchise", but clearly he never paid attention to the freakin fact that this universe was an anomaly that WAS SUPPOSED TO NOT HAVE THE SAME EVENTS OF THE ORIGINAL MADOKA SERIES. Basically the director sucked and ruined it.
@@soup_n_sugar8213 Late to comment but I think they were referring to the very first timeline when Mami dies fighting Walpurgisnacht and Homura watches Madoka take on Walpurgis on her own.
WOW, I can't believe this video has hit 200,000! Thank you all so much, and thank you for your support! I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with replying to all of your comments! I have noticed some (understandable) confusion that I could hopefully help with: :) -These are the cutscenes from the video game Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story; this is not from the anime. :) -There is a small section in the video (4:21) where audio is missing due to copyright. I could only upload this video if I took out the audio in that section, so my apologies! :( -Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story is a spinoff series/game based off of the original Puella Magi Madoka Magica series. The girl in pink who looks like Madoka is named Iroha Tamaki. I also want to add that while the NA English server has sadly shut down, it is still possible to play Magia Record on the JP (Japan) server through an emulator! Thank you all so much! :)
Hello! I was wondering if you still have this cutscene recorded unedited. And if so, could you possibly make a file of it available on another platform? I really wanted to save this scene in full since it is not available anywhere else. Thank you.
I love that in the event where you fight Walpurgis, Is implied that the reason THAT wish worked was only and pure only for Ultimate Madoka, that let at least just one world where they can have a good ending, a one where everything goes "right" , no one can see her but she is there, she is thee because She is the Hope that all the magical girls where having at the end
@@TheTrueBro oh nah she already knew abt it. she couldnt interfere much due to the fact she was anxious it could make it bad so she pretty much watched it and tried with what she COULD do
I would've loved if the anime adapted this ending tbh, but I understand why they didn't it. Now the Magireco game timeline can still be the multiversal singularity it was stated to be, and although more timelines where Iroha became a magical girl and the doppel system was created will pop out, they will never end well and will be absorbed by the Law of Cycles eventually.
It’s fun how when defeated the gear turns into one of those things you spin to animate, I personally think this is because wal is suppose to represent time coming to an end (Hense why the top of her looks like an hour glass which is mirrored with madokas witch) which the gear turning could represent time returning to a normal state
I'm happy because I finish the game before NA server got shut down, but I was sad thinking that I wouldn't have access to this scene again, thanks for uploading this
I just saw a comment bellow that *32 magic girls made up this thing?!* I had to count myself for a sec cus hot damn. No wonder they named her Walpurgisnacht, literaly night of the witches as they dance at the end. And then Homura took it on by herself how many times now?
I want this ending in the anime...fucking seriously they should have been more...and the credit scene where devil homura and goddess madoka tease should be in it too..pleaseeeeee
It's a shame more megucas died in the anime than it was in-game. I wonder what factor diverges both of these timelines apart other than some characters surviving?
A? Just bring in the whole damn Holy Quintet! (i'll main mami instantly lol) Or just mod them into Rivals of Aether (which is essentially knockoff smash but with the steam workshop giving it essentially an infinitely-expanding cast and stage selection)
The amount of time Homura went back in time did she never want to ACTUALLY investigate who or where the witch came from? I feel like she was so focused on Madoka she just half assed and read stuff but never wanted to search who the girl was that created that horrible thing >
Imagine the grief seed from that monstrosity(I'm not spelling name because I'm too lazy.) The seed would keep up so many Charges just for one singular magical girl so they would be able to life life a bit normally like a break before going back into fighting.
After the fight one of the girls Ren whose power puts spirits to rest uses her magic to prevent Walpurgisnacht from reviving meaning that Walpurgisnacht didn’t drop a grief seed in this timeline
The music at 1:37 which is "We're here for you" gave me nostalgia because of rebellion omg the memories of holy quintet including nagisa/bebe saving homura here is the link to the OST:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ECKAaYk1Lzk.html
If the fight happens at Mitakihara, Madoka's family is there, so I doubt she's going to be down to irradiate the area. Probably also not a great look in general, considering this is Japan
I’m sorta surprised that the Witches don’t bleed when their being attacked, like the Angels in NGE. Considering their the final form of the magical girl.
her body was inside Eve and the magical girls destroy the witch's gem for free her, and little kyubey sacrificed to destroy Eve and being the magical girl new system
To elaborate what SomeoneLikeDawn said, in the game they clearly specify Eve is a half developed witch. Hence the name Embryo Eve. They figured out that by beating Embryo Eve they would be able to save Ui because her body was preserved in a big red gemstone, unlike in the anime where Ui transforms into witch and her body is nowhere to be found.
@@iobald7965 I think the game version just doesn't have consequences for any Magical Girls. No consequence of manipulating other Magical Girls for the Doppel System. no consequence of becoming the big bad of the series. No consequence of death really. The Doppel System where girls lose control of their Doppels weren't even in the game. The anime does push Magia Record into a more tragic light by having the characters punished for what they did, along with those that made actual sacrifices for something to happen, and stay dead.
@@kikikaichan The thing about Arc 1 is that the point of its ending was that it's a miracle. For everyone to be able to work together and prevent casualties. Its super sappy tone in the end was setup for Arc 2's more heavy storyline that explores the consequences of all the Magius and Iroha did. Arc 2 explores grief, mourning, and what it means to pursue happiness during very hard times. The thing with the anime though, is that it was only allowed to adapt Arc 1. Without Arc 2 to explore Arc 1's consequences, DoroInu felt like he had to transplant those Arc 2 themes into Arc 1 to wrap up the whole story in one go. The result was a failed version of the Magia Record timeline that will later be taken into the Law of Cycles, as shown in the post-credits scene.
Did this game ever explain where the Walpurgisnacht came from in any capacity? I've always had thoughts and theories. ..Also how canon was it? I never got to play it much at all.
Yes, I’m so sorry about that! (; - ;) Apparently, there was a copyright issue at that part, and I could only upload this video if I took out the music from that portion :( !
But who is the Walpuriscnaght? Is it ever told that who or what kind of mahou shoujo girl she was before she turned to most powerful witch in that time?
No, chapter 9 mentioned that doppel leaves the user exhausted, so Yachiyo told the group not to use it as the fight against Magius, Eve, and Walpugisnacht was going to require them to be as able bodied as possible.
