Not exactly. It's a horror game for the Oculus Rift. It's like a simulator for Duck Hunt that gets darker as you progress through it. And the Dog tries to kill you in the end if you shoot him, which people tend to do.

Technically it does based on the ending, but this defeat was from the Canon Ending. It's how the story really went down.
