This is most likely the result of a loose connection between the battery compartment and the circuit board within the plush. What's basically happening is the dog is attempting to start up, but due to the faulty wiring, is only receiving about half of the voltage it requires to run properly. When this occurs, the unit will continually short out and then turn back on, in an attempt to correct the behavior and thus cause the audio to become stuck in a continuous loop.
now i get this..We have requested this to be tested and sent from our warehouse and will send tracking information once they have it available. Thank you, Moose Toys Customer Service
Yep... ours did the same when it ran out of battery (which goes pretty fast if they play with it all the time). But initially forgot about the 2nd compartment... but after changing all 4 at the same time, it was fine again.
This problem of the processor going into an infinite loop (like the same sound or action keeps on repeating) is caused by low voltage to the processor. In Other Words, the batteries in either the left lag (usually) or the right leg (that has the On-OFF-TRY ME switch) has become disconnected. The fault lies in the Push-On white nylon molex-style connector that works loose with play. It should e a locking connector AND have soldered connections, ut the manufacturer cheaped out. To temporarily fix this, feel around the top of the (say) left leg and push the connector in to the battery pack case, i.e. push downward toward the foot. This will usually fix the problem. The permanent fi is to pry off the fur around the leg -battery pack, solder the wires on properly and also crazy-glue the connector in place at the top. Glue only the plastic sides of the connector where it slides into the Leg-Battery Case. Try not to put any glue onto the silvery electrical connector plug "things" (the contacts). If you get some on, scrape it off with a razor knife since it might lock the electrical current from flowing. The push the fur leg back on and maybe hot-melt glue it so it stays in place. Good Luck. See other youtube videos for how to remove the fur on the leg, like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pN5cRyKnHE4.html .
Even if you are a little DIY shy I would recommend looking at JWs video of how to fix snuggles. They are poorly made, but easy to fix and hard to break completely!
Wow i just contacted moose toys today about the same thing happening with my daughters and they said no one else has had this problem. They obviously lied.
Jessica Moss Tons of people had this issue! You should visit their (Little Live Pets) facebook page and look at the comments from after Christmas. They sent us another replacement in exchange for the puppy seen here and it finally worked properly. First of three!
Lindy L did they wait to receive your defective one before sending a new one? My defective one is on the way to them but they havent issued replacement yet..dont really feel like calling again lol
now they said they sent it from the warehouse to be tested. they have no idea how hard it is to be patient waiting for replacement when you have kids who are waiting.
Have you tried changing batteries in both legs compartments? I had the same issue before because I just change 2 batteries in the leg with the on/off switch - didn't realize that it has a second battery compartment in the other back leg. And now my problem solved by changing all 4 batteries!
Last night my baby so real eye ware glowing when it was off it was creepy but at 4am I looked at it and the eyes ware off good it was not defeated I hope it dose not happen agen
mine wont even turn on it made a lil pepe once and is dead i changed batteries but still no go do you have any ideas what could be ? and from unboxing it never worked just that once
If you over screw the battery cover on it stops them. I did mine tight. It completely stopped. Loosened a tiny bit dog sprang to life. Also there are 4 batteries two in each leg. That repeatative sound happens when my batteries are low. I replaced 2 in one leg still made that noise. Then realised there are two in the other leg, and as soon as those where replaced dog was normal again.
yea we already bought another one because we tossed the box and were going to return defective one thank you i will definitely try to do that see if it works
