Testing the 158 grain XTP round loaded by Defender Ammunition in the 3" Taurus Model 605 through heavy clothing (denim, fleece, 2 layers cotton) into calibrated homemade ballistic gel and clear ballistics. Will this round really be THE self defense rounds in 38 as claimed? Watch for the results.

I got some of the underwood 38 +p but haven't tried it yet, but I like other choices I've made with underwood.

I'd be interested in seeing their 124 grain loading, but I think I will stay with a Speer or Federal cartridge for carry.

I still have the 357 mag rounds to test that I did buy, but I probably won't put another order in here for a while simply because I already stocked up on their 380 XTP rounds.

....And the so called Hollow point did not expand. Shot some of these using a 4 inch barrel, same thing. This is why i hate the new total copper rounds. It will not let the lead expand. I use Soft points for my Wheel Gun now. And for the record Semi jacketed .357 magnum hollow points perform so much better too.
