@lambo do you think there’s any value to having the 12pool lings attack the far side of the hatch instead of the ramp side? If your the 12 pool guy obviously.
No because it is easier to engage them from the side with drones, You always wanna be positioned in a way where you can attack the drones with a concave right away (mirroring the drone movements basically).
+1 Carapace first is good against 2 Base openers because it allows the lings to be usefull for much longer vs +1 Roaches. You always have a good number of lings vs 2 Base openers, due to the lingflood possibilty of your opponent and the fact that you can deny the third with them. So this allows you to drone harder than you could otherwise, because you can defend +1 Roachspeed timings nicely with +1 Carapace Roach Ling.
You do still move the 2nd overlord across intime for all the relevant information, but you stay untill the drone would arrive for the proxy hatch. The build is so rare that you can still just send the 2nd ovi across, no need to copy it :)
