Sup, guys! Felip's comeback single, Bulan, has been a success. But apparently, some fans are just not having it. Plagiarism/rip-off/copying claims have been spreading all across social media platforms, so this video's purpose is to shed some light on the situation. The matter of this video will be up to your take. I don't intend to accuse the artists mentioned in the video. I only wanted to show that there are many songs that sound similar out of inspiration and coincidence.

Hi! I am Lay fan for a long time / EXO-L as well, both MV's napanuod ko na and FOR ME sobrang magkaiba talaga! :D I don't see any similarity pa nga ehh. I am half Chinese po, but what Lay's instrumental used for LIT are Pipa, bangu, and Ruan to create a dark and goosebump sound, while Felip used Rock Guitar and a grungy feel. In imagery, hindi talaga sya the same if videographer wise it will be based on the cultural representation of the song NO question at all (the moon, the lady, the dragon, the dancer even the concept has different depiction) they are different MAGKAIBA talaga. On the rhythm side naman Felip used a crumpy/rocky beat while Lay's used our traditional Tanggu, Yueqin, and upbeat to dance into it. Plagiarism can't be used here. LET'S ALL END THIS! Thank you Chuck very informative! and for those toxic Pinoy fans of EXO-L and Lay alone. TUMAHIMIK NA! wala kayo sa lugar to accuse.

Late ako pero ayon I'm a journalism student and I must say that plagiarism is far from inspiration. Please don't normalize using the "P" word in every situation. Experts have already given their insights on the issue, and it was properly and clearly stated that he did not copy someone else's work. Geez, what happened to you guys? It's a shame how quickly you guys judge and accuse someone. Please stop doing this! It's not good for these two different artists. I'm angrily expressing my displeasure with the toxic nature of my co-Exo-Ls. Awat na ha! Nakakainis lang talaga na mas inuna niyo 'tong gawin lalo na 'yung mga kapwa ko pinoy jan. Sheesh kayo! Your going the extra mile is more admired especially now that you’re being hit below the belt. You’re being tested. Don’t let the ignorant break you. Chin up! We got you! Felip already said his piece, and you presented an objective opinion in his defence, complete with (in your face) samples. You’re not alone, other reactors are on the same page with you and so are we. This controversy gets to show how much SB19 has grown globally, intimidating other fans (the overly, irrational fanatic ones). You, being dragged in this ugly situation, gets to show that your videos are effective and have a great impact to your viewers - from both sides of the fence. Respect your fellow artists if you're an artist, and respect your idol if you're a fan. And if you're not a fan, at least respect another human who put in so much effort and hard work to create such high-quality work. W ITH THIS MV, Para sa akin Felip need not apologize... all aspects of his BULAN came from him and his groups talented mind. It may have similarities because of the story being told but all this are required to highlight what needs to be emphasized and to show what the story is about.... Plagiarism is such a harsh word to begin with. All they want is for our younger generation to know the story of BULAN. We Filipinos should be proud that one person and as such, FELIP did this for our youngsters to know and appreciate. KUdos to you KEN. Again! You are on the right track. The part when you sampled similar songs at the middle of the video. I have this though of SB19 is now starting to set new standards that can be comparable to these amazing songs. We are now getting into the mix of international pop when it comes to the sound and delivery which for me is a plus for our country to innovate and compete globally.

I have been a KPOP fan for almost six years and I've been seeing plagiarism allegations among fans. Fandoms calling out fandoms to make an issue to the point of mentioning the artist and even their company to do some steps about it. Sa observation ko po, kapag po sa mga similar scenes, umiinit lang yung topic for certain amount of time tapos huhupa na. Common yung mga statements na "apologize to [artist] for what u did" ganun po, depende rin sa material na tinutukoy nilang ginaya raw. Ayon po sa nabasa ko sa lesson namin about sa plagiarism, ang isang idea cannot be grounds or evidence against plagiarism kasi sa nakita ko po sa both MVs, there are similar ideas that were actually executed but not to the point of copying the whole masterpiece. Kaya rin po may disclaimers sa mga content because of that, I suppose. But yun po, we must always remember na hindi lang po idols ang mga hinahangaan natin, kasi yes, I agree Sir Chuck, they are people and they have feelings too and there is hard work invested for every comeback they have. Sharp tongues can wound and it affects a whole team, not just one person. Ang observation ko lang po talaga ay may idol obsession na magaganap kapag nagpenetrate na talaga yung idol industry sa isang culture. Since PPOP is rising and in the near future, it will be fully recognized and accepted also by our fellow casuals, it's our responsibility as PPOP fans, to let our fave artists feel they are understood as fellow humans. And to be understanding as well kasi yun po rin ang deserve nila.

Plagiarism is a strong word that can only be proven through court ruling. Learn its meaning, it's easy to throw hate than to study nowadays, I guess. Seeing both mv and listening to both songs, I can't deny that the feel and some visuals of the mv have similarities (maybe because of the dominant colors used in both mv) but when talking about Plagiarism, it should have been the EXACT SAME THING (identical), same concept, same storyline, same lyrics, same everything and make it seems like it's his own. Cashual Chuck just played with their own cards tho, he pointed out what's obvious by playing their own game and it backfired 'cause somehow it painted them in a bad light when this is what they've done to Felip in the first place 🤷🏻‍♀️ The take away from this issue is that, learn to view each side of the story, don't just throw judgments based on our own biases, be critical, and be open-minded.

Now I fully understand why those pips are so mad at you because you are clearly spitting fact right here and surely it hurts their ego especially that this video can literally slaps them. Ken and his team doesn't deserve all of the accusations. Some of them are too toxic and I even encounter some of their co-fandom that can't actually handle their toxicity. This video is an enlightenment. Next time sa mga fans bago kayo mag accuse make sure napanuod mo bit by bit both sides of the mv and make sure na 100% yung pinagsasabi niyo na plagiarism. Minsan kasi piliin rin natin magpaka tao kesa magpaka fan na lang without thinking the works and effort na ginugol ng isang artist para mabuo lang ang isang masterpiece. some fans cries "cancel" and saying "insensitive" because of this vids reference. but they did not even reflect that they are the ones who are insensitive of what might the artist would feel because of their accusation. nagagalit sila kasi nasagi yung ego nila dahil may maipupuna din pala sa artist nila. i hope and and i pray talaga na sana di tumigil si ken and and SB19 na gumawa dekalidad na mga kanta. nakakalungkot lang na minsan kapwa pinoy pa humihila pababa. i could say blessing in disguise ang nangyayari ngayon sa Bulan. it means napapansin na nila na kaya din pala gumawa ng pinoy ng ganitong masterpiece pagdating sa music at kaya ng ipantay at ipagmalaki internationally. I am not a musical professional and a reactor but about plagiarism issue, is too far of being inspired. Regardless if they have a similarities in sound or beat drop remember producing music can reuse a beat drop. But onhand I also watch the MV of Lit by Lay (EXO). The story of the MV is about religious belief in China about life and death, and Bulan MV is about Mythology of the God Moon and Bakunawa (Sea Serpent). That 2 MV has a different stories, but both has inspiration to share for their fans. Felip was inspired by Lay, and you cannot credit the inspiration to a certain person because they do not have a participation on making on your work. Now if the fandom keep saying that is Plagiarized, we can take it in legal but make sure you have enough evidence to present. Now when you watch the MV of both and has a lot of similarities, same amount of the MV, same production, same people who use to be on the said MV, same lyrics but in Filipino, same clothing and same place where the first video take off but not crediting to a person. This is a plagiarized. If you are not satisfied, then you have a problem. Not on the artists, not on the staff, not on the production but you, yourself. And Felip already released a statement. Hoping the both fandom will end this.

Ghost writers & music/beats producers exist in diff country. Like in Korea, there's some foreign ghost producers based there then if an Entertain Company gonna release a song or album they will contact them then those ghost producers gonna contact their fellow ghost producers too outside Korea to inform if they're interested to submit their demos/sample(s). After that the company & their in-house producers or the artists itself will choose among those samples then the choosen ghost writers or producers will either come to Korea or just through online. Then all those choosen will create another beats from their samples until they the whole song. If the company is satistfied, they gonna buy the rights & their in-house producers & artist that gonna release it will just folish it with their own & will take the credit or copyright. While the rejected samples/demos gonna be recycled by those ghost producers & if there's a new client they gonna present it. That's why there's a lot of songs around the world that sounds similar to each other. Yes the edited out part was inappropriate & disrespectful but it mean no harm imo. They just choose to IGNORED the POINT w/c was supposed to be an eye opener or awareness of the extent of one's HURTFUL WORD(S) effect or will affects one's life either mentally or emotionally. Not just netizens, haters, bashers, ssasaengs (obsessive fans) but an actual fans too of a certain idol(s)/celebrity(es) ang nang-aatack if the issue(s) was not on their favor. They doesn't care if bias pa nla yan. Kung baga "sentence w/out investagation" ang peg nila. I'm an EXO fan since highschool and A'TIN. I agree sa parehong fandom neto may toxic fans talaga. Marami akong nababasang comments both side. Nakakaturn off talaga kung iisipin...
