Just picked this bad boy up. And I love the thing. I've heard people say it's "too busy" with all the opening options. And rolling their eyes at the glass breaker. Think of it this way... I think this is Civivi's shot at a tactical knife rather than a run of the mill EDC. Besides the stabby blade style, you have all those opening options so in a pinch you got a few different ways to deploy if you need it. And as far as the glass breaker, I dare anyone who owns this to go ahead and doink yourself a couple times in the forehead with the glass breaker. For as small as it is, if you put power behind it, it would absolutely drop someone if you hit em with it. So for the nitpickers, this thing has defense in mind as much as daily usage. 👍🏼
I agree 100%. Got mine for a steal about a month ago and haven't been able to put it down. I do wish it came without a flipper tab simply because it gets in the way when I want to use the other opening methods. Bless.
@@jackberdine My only complaint is I got the one with the black coat. Was testing it out and chopped up an apple and some of the coating came off and is 2 toned now. That irks me a bit but like the knife so much otherwise I'm thinking of getting the silver and black one 😎
love the look of this thing. honestly debating buying the red version and the damascus version and doing a blade swap; i think the red damascus would look real nice
I bought the Damascus version, being pretty and green scales, but the main reason is because it's stainless, the other versions are k110 (D2 equivalent), and the core in the Damascus is 10cr, which is harder than the 9cr, better edge retention, and from some reviews even better than some of the nitro V that civivi has released (civivi vision FG 10cr core Damascus vs the nitro V), hit and miss I guess in mass production. And the figet factor is awesome, being new to knives....was my first reverse flicker....now it's standard almost for me, so gratifying
I just got the black with olive back and the Damascus one there so I can switch the backs and have an all black version. Which they should have done to begin with.
I think the Sentinel Strike looks nice, but, as goes for button locks, I already am plenty happy with my Kizer Swaggs Sway Back, so I passed on this for the green micarta Civivi Vision FG. Buttttttt, it is really pretty, and reminds me of one of the Leatherman Signal variants that is also green with damascus, and I think that is a very fetching color scheme. Also, lol, another knife that Amazon doesn't want to ship to me, but they would ship an AD20.5 or a PM2! 🤪
@@TristateEDC Yep really. I think I just had expectations that were too high and it didn’t live up to them. Mostly because it was so hyped and I usually don’t buy into hype. I didn’t check the specs ahead of time and should’ve, so some of its on me. Didn’t like that it was K110 which is just D2. Didn’t like that it was FRN instead of G-10. I think it was a CIVIVI price with Sencut materials. Thought that the hole AND thumb studs were overkill and took away from the aesthetic. And thought the glass breaker bead was gimmicky and also made it difficult to reverse the clip. It’s funny because I usually don’t “hate” any knife. But I hated that one.
