"GET to keep your uterus" It's not a priviledge to everyone. I would be overjoyed if i lost mine. Best health news i could get. Unfortunately I live in Ontario where optional hysterectomies don't seem to be a thing, all i know is it would remove so much anguish from my life. I'll never be able to stop taking opiates until i stop having periods. Uterus and maybe even ovaries too, not so sure about ovaries though. I'm no dr.

@@Atlii Because so much news is about abortion could a partial hysterectomy be called a pre-conception abortion? The first time I heard about a partial hysterectomy was when I was told that I could have had one done before leaving the hospital when my third child was born in 1971. After I had it done and had the post-op checkup I don't recall hearing it mentioned again until I entered it on the RU-vid search line about a week ago. As a pre-conception abortion it would be a very effective method of birth-control.

Hi i have to a hysterectomy due to stage 3 uterus prolapse and doc on about just taking my cervix away and pining my womb to my spine but i have bad back suffer with sciatica will this make it worse x

Doc does it depends on how many and how big the fibroids are ?how would someone in Jamaica get in contact with u

Does not typically depend on size and certainly does not depend on number. We require a pelvic MRI before seeing a patient in consultation. We see patients remotely with a secure telemedicine portal. Not really. Some refer to partial hysterectomy as a supracervical hysterectomy (leaving the cervix) while others refer to a partial hysterectomy as one that just involves the uterus versus uterus, tubes, and ovaries (total hysterectomy).
