That was...disgustingly accurate. That was like I was listening to the actual song off the soundtrack. That is *not* an easy song with all the variations and intensity shifts constantly thrown at you, but you absolutely NAILED it. Nice work!! Well done sir.
I've had the privilege of being down in the pit for Wicked, and the actual drummer is set up like this. Drummer is not in the pit, has a video showing the stage and conductor, and is just off in a different room away from everyone else. Pretty cool how all of this works together!!
Fantastic performance. Always felt that the drums lift up and carries the impact of this song and this video and the talent shown - puts it clearly on display.
This video just came up in my feed, I am a drummer and often get videos of Drummers but they are almost exclusive rock band drummers. Watch you perform this style of drumming was mesmerizing. I immediately liked and subscribed. Fascinating skills that you have Jeremy. Absolute masterclass, I look forward to watching your back catalogue and to see what you cover off next. Just brilliant.
I’ve studied this recording so much that I could hear most of your entrances in my head right before you came in, but I’ve not studied the percussion deeply. Thank you for filling in all the holes I still had for what was happening in the score!
This song is the stand out song in Wicked and I love playing along to this guy as he nails it plus he’s so easy to follow…he deserves the 87k views twice over…brilliant
There's a drummer and a percussionist. The percussion setup is actually rather impressive, if you get a chance to see the pit. There are the usual suspects, vibes, glock, xylo, timpani, concert bass, cymbals, plus a bunch of toys, even including a comparatively rare instrument called a trine (also used in Les Mis, actually).
The drums in this song seem very... hidden. They serve an incredibly important role, but stay in the background. Great arrangement, and great playing by you.
Great job. I must say that the soundtrack to Wicked, is wicked. The drums are incredible. He was using a maple shelled kit. Sonically, the recording is very hifi. And his drum sound is wicked. 😅
Dude awesome job on one of my all time favorite songs from a music. I stumbled upon you channel. Will see what other videos you may have. If you have not tried any yet how about Jersey Boys...
you know you have been listening to alot of chunky ass metal when you are just waiting for a disgusting blast beat knowing full well its not one of those videos, amazing playing
dude you're VERY good! timing and feel is pretty spot on! Something that I noticed when you're playing is you look quite tense in you're upper body, jaw and shoulders look a little tense. It looks like it limiting youre movement around the kit. Try to relax those areas. Anyways well done bro! :)
