Today on hoi4 I'm trying to play Historical Norway on the new dlc Arms Against Tyranny. This could easily become a classic Rambler fail.

I managed rather easily to Survive. But a bug happened when the Winter war started and the Allies got dragged into it against Finland. So that Hell started up North and I lost Finmark.

Because the maker of the Norwegian focus tree is a leftist who doesn’t like monarchy. Despite overwhelming request from the players for king Haakon VII as the national leader, he wouldn’t listen and thought he knew better than the customers

@@briish4615 Yeah it's kind of stupid that they made him design the monarchist paths tbh. Basically everyone hated the decision to not make Haakon VII the national leader and yet he still did not listen to feedback and just did it his own way because he thought it just was so great. How big of an ego can a guy like that really have?

If you give an army a garrison order they may shuffle troops around to reconquer lost objectives - in your case Oslo… It’s more tedious but better to manually assign your troops to fallback lines on the ports

My jaw dropped when I saw that Carl Gustav Fleischer is in the game :O Hes a renowned in Norway for being one of the first to fight back when Norway was invaded. Theres even risen a statue for him in the southern part of Troms, thats paid respect to every 17th of may.

Just did my Norway playthrough and i ended up going monarchist, building coastal forts all through the south of the country, and converting the kings army slowly to a home defense force. Ended up holding out no problem once the forts were lvl 5, and pushed into Finland which had just declared. Finished the game with a Danish puppet from the focus tree, almost all of Finland annexed, and being involved in the German peace deal.

Tip for not getting your navy sunk, get rid of the slow as balls coastal defense ships, they'll get the rest of your escorts sunk since they're too slow at retreating. Just leave them in a separate TF on strike force or something.
