The arc of Fiona coming out as a lesbian was done right. She never really showed interest in boys and didn’t really want to kiss them and get physical or intimate with them. Plus Adam being an FTM and having a female body and Fiona knowing about Adam being trans all along, it all makes sense now
I like it as well. A natural way of coming out. I don't even think fiona knew she was in to girls. All she knew was that guys around her weren't interesting enough. That's why she was drawn to Adam. A guy. Consciousness adam was a guy she actually felt interested in. Subconsciously Adam had girl parts so she was attracted to him. With riley she knew he was gay or confused. So she dated him to ward guys away and get the guys off riley back till he would be ready to come out. If riley wasn't so cruel or a gay basher they would still be friends. The gay and the lesbian would relate to one another and could help each other as friends in same community. But riley never could apologize after angry therapy management nor was he able to make it up to her.
