Sooooooooooooooooo many misconceptions, so my family is from Ghana. Even though I'm American born, Ghanaian is in my blood and every time Ghana is introduced to the first world; villages, poverty, hunger, no running water, flies buzzing around that is the only thing you see and I'm sick of it. The never show Ghanaian middle class or Ghanaian upper class, and the houses there are twenty times amazing than an average house hold in the States. I'm not kidding the average Ghanaian home is a mansion but they give us a hideous ignorant image and I'm sick and tired of my culture not being presented positively. Now don't get me wrong there are poor places in Ghana that are like this for example and I think its great Americans, and Canadians want to go there and help out but I'm tired of turning on the television and the first thing you see is Ghanaian= poverty. We have gold, timber, and cocoa. including oil we are a strong economic African country but the upper class in the government in power rather have Americans clean up their crap than they doing something about it. like it 2015 lets go!
I love Degrassi and all but... This is not the real Ghana!!!!!!! this is just some village there.. I have lived in Ghana before and trust me it is not like this!!! Pure IGNORANCE!!!
