Degree of Freedom [DOF] , Lower Pair , Higher Pair - Theory of Machines 

In this video we'll be talking about the concept of degree of freedom concept of lower pair and higher pairs.
the concept of degree of freedom is very important in case if you are looking to design a mechanism or a machine. the degree of freedom defines the number of motion the body can have.
the maximum number of degree of freedom a body can have is 6. A body can either have three translatory motion in xy and Z direction or a body can rotate along XYZ axis in clock and counterclockwise which defines the whole concept of degree of freedom.
In this video we will try to understand the concept of degree of freedom with the help of 3D models the first model will have 6 degrees of freedom while the another representational model have two and 1 degree of freedom. We will also show you a machine having degree of freedom of different different parts so that is a practical expect that we're going to cover in this video.
If we talk about the lower pair and higher pair then we will also try to understand them with the help of the example.
