My first ever live gig was Deicide at the London Astoria in 1992 (supported by UK band Cancer). Seems like only a few years ago but according to the calendar it’s been 32 years !
I had the chance to see them back in 2017 in my hometown, but my mom didn't allow me to go on that concert because i wasn't going well on school, so i lost that concert, my friend that also have see Marduk few years back have attended that concert and said that Glen was a beast that night. I had saw Belphegor and Vital Remains few months prior to that, i also atended Cannibal Corpse / Napalm Death and Kreator / Arch Enemy concert in the next year at time ! Then they came back again in april 2020, but the concert was canceled due to Covid...
Awesome fukkkk....I'm from Australia and I loved the original I only got in Caz my mate was old and I used my long hair to bust in there omg....30ys so awesome
@@KristianKoci Yeah mate there was a bomb scare at the gig in Manchester, everyone was evacuated and they closed the road and stuff, but the gig went on in the end. I heard rumours it had something to do with the Animal Liberation Front. The gig is actually on youtube and you can hear Glen raging about it at the start - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tqYc2vyzEns.html
I was at the bomb gig. First and only Deicide gig. They were great when they finally got on. I missed some of the support. Was it Cancer? Was there a third support band? I was only 17/18. Memory is a bit fucked now at 50 😅
Benton is a fucking mad genius, totally nuts but strongly executed! Steve Asheim is a machine, unrelenting and savage, along with his riff writing which is top notch!!
Horses for courses, I only wanted to see Beast in Black and NFO and made the decision to pay the £90 entrance fee. It's been a long time since I did the metal thing, plenty of melodic/classic rock but not the hard-core metal stuff. I loved it! The bands were all great, even if wasn't my thing. The crowd was great, the atmosphere was great. Festival food has improved beyond all recognition for the better. The festival staff were all brilliant too. I may have felt different if it pissed it down up to and on the day but in the hot sun it was an event I will definitely consider doing again. Thanks to all involved.
Hello, I'm from South Korea. I love DEATH METAL music. Is it okay if I download the live video of your DEICIDE and upload it to my RU-vid channel and mark the source?
@@dismalrealms3587 silly question...the second most popular death metal band and one that's managed to remain relevant through the years despite changing their sound album to album....even when they change their sound you still know it's deicide...i will go so far as to say deicide saved extreme metal. In the early 90s after metallica released their pile of shit black album and nu-metal started to rear its head and dance music exploded these guys came in with a few albums that were exactly what metal was supposed to be....brutal, fast, evil sounding but technically brilliant.... even cannibal corpse can't claim that (as much as i admire that band too)
They formed in 87. They are old and so are you, get over your -I'm still young and relevant stage-. "Where does the time go"?!?! What drugs have you been on for the last 30+ years!
Glen... A national treasure?😂 Maybe if he learned to sing. The music is chaos not talent. This guy is joking right? I can't help but to just laugh at Glen Benton. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
