Deicide - When Satan Rules His World - Guitar Cover (+Tabs) 

Third video of Deicide Djanuary is none other than When Satan Rules His World, a staple of any Deicide setlist. This is one of the most straightforward songs to play with a few licks in more standard Death metal style rather than the usual erratic Hoffman bros style… HOWEVER, this song will tire your right arm like hell: the fast power chords alternating with tremolo picked riffs will require you to practice a fair bit to build endurance, and warming up before playing the whole thing is recommended!
Tonewise, still a Marhsall JCM 800 but this time boosted by a Boss Metal Zone MT-2 in front (Bias FX does not allow the use of pedal in the amp FX loop). A little EQ after the Bias FX and voilà! Thanks to all of you who informed me about the use of the MT-2 btw, it really helped narrowing down on getting the tone right!
Now that I covered one song from each of their first (and arguably best) albums, I will take a break from the ol’ Deicide and focus on bringing covers from other bands! Rest assured though, I still have a few songs in the works and you will see more of Hoffmans’ riffage in the future!
