Man, I never played a single day of organized football in my life --- but after hearing this speech, I wanna put on pads and run through a wall for Coach Prime!
“Yes the QB is coming and he’s bringing about 10 more with him and they’re dogs, they’re gonna hunt, they’re gonna eat” is one coldest lines I’ve heard a coach drop about his players.
It’s crazy that most of these players in the room either quit, kicked off because they weren’t good enough, or transferred because they didn’t believe. It’s a whole different team. I’m rooting for the buffs!
Majority of them quit. Coach Prime said it in a recent interview. It's on the CU Football RU-vid channel. Some dudes just play college football for the perks. Some play because they want to be the best. He got rid of the former, literally.
I don’t believe most of them quit or transferred because they didn’t believe. They were basically cut because Coach didn’t believe they fit. Coach wanted his team and got it, there is no need to bash the former players.
@@ralphlamy6842 No, Coach Prime said majority of them quit in a recent interview. It's not about what you believe, it's about what came from the source's own mouth.
“We already got some positions taken care of, because I’m bringing my luggage with me….and it’s Louie😎” man that went over most ppls heads and most definitely a bar😂😂
@@howdydo5760ah he’s a first year coach should beat down a historically great college? That’s likes expecting a new head coach at missouri to beat down the sec every year
After the TCU game, now everyone understands why this speech was so impactful. Coach did not kick anybody off the team... THEY QUIT. Let them go somewhere else where they can take that loosing attitude. And for those that left after the Spring scrimmage, thinking they were gonna hurt Prime and the Buffs... you could have been on national TV constantly with the whole world talking about you! Coach Prime is a one of a kind individual and I pray he has the continued blessings God has for him!💯💯
After the TCU game, now everyone understands why this speech was so impactful. Coach did not kick anybody off the team... THEY QUIT. .... False...some were dismissed but still able to retain their scholarship if they remained
@@iggypopisgod9 Coach Prime DID NOT dismiss any players (as my post clear states). and any college player with a scholarship is allowed to remain at the school on scholarship if dismissed from a team, duh. The scholarship players who remained at CU are on the team right now. Please name the players that were "dismissed" and are still attending CU on scholarship...I'll wait
@@iggypopisgod9 They chose to get in the portal. They could've told him, they don't want to leave and they will prove themselves. It's not like they were police escorted off of campus.
4 real , old boy to the far left back on the the 5th row took his hat off with the quickness because knew he was listening to Coach Prime. that wasn't hoodwinking nobody...this what it gone be...and for those young men that wasn't there I hope you had a damn good reason for not being there, because the way it looks from here ya'll cats might as well hit the transfer portal.
@@lakerfann daddy ball had improved numbers this season and especially since he train with Tom Brady in the offseason wouldn't be surprised if Brady pop up on campus
Dude in that first seat near the wall believed since day 1. Look at his face and body language during the whole video. No wonder he played well yesterday.
Exactly my first thought - that’s the dude Coach prime said would be mayor or governor some day. He was grinning ear to ear - knowing he now has a leader who will take him to the next tier. So cool seeing him in this first video and being the only face I recognize now with the new squad 😂
ago “I want the ones that wanna be here, that don’t wanna quit” that’s powerful. He’s gonna turn this organization around and I’ll be watching..... basically for the cameras...CP brought in a whole new team lol

Bro, been there and done that...there are sooo many areas of society where this means nothing, that have impact on Black Americans, and areas where Black men are few and far between - that's where I'm at now. If you're not out there pushing a larger agenda for our community then you won't understand the message in my comment.
That’s some real talk life advice from anything from romantic relationships to work, not just football. Cut the people out of your life that aren’t cutting it, they only bring you down
Who else came here for reconfirmation after today’s win over TCU? He is the epitome of belief & turning nothing into something! All praise to GOD! Sko Buffs!
Man having been in that position before it’s extremely scary as a player. But guven their terrible record italians understandable. Ppl got to go. Because theirs a cancer in the team body. I just hope no one gives up on themselves. Getting better starts today.
This team that went 1-11 got absolutely blown out in 9 to10 of them. I completely understand why he shot straight from the hip with them. They have big work to do. Him bringing in hungry hbcu players is really going to light a fire up under them boys. I love everything about this. I feel just like everybody else in the comments. Coach Sanders got me wanting to do some up-downs and run some routes! Much respect.
@@user-xk8dx7vq7l some of us genuinely care for the sanders family and their journey/story. I’ve been following him since JSU. Go away. I know you’re upset you didn’t get to troll buffs fans this week. It’ll be alright.
Judging by their faces, this rude awakening wasn’t what they expected but what they needed. Coach made me take my hat off and I’m at the house right now.
He’s showing what college football coaching is all about; motivating young men. Winning the recruiting war is 80% of the battle. The pros is much different, which is why he is astutely avoiding that crap show.
@@nocap1923 No one has to stay anywhere permanently if another opportunity arises. He made the team relevant and taught the boys how to be men with character which lacks a lot in today's society. Let's just forget all he's done for the JS program which was nothing until he took over. Cant believe people are upset at anyone that wants to do what they think is best for their career.
This speech has motivated me to go back to school to get my masters in my profession. My profession has nothing to do with football...I'm a nurse. I've been procrastinating because I have ADD and didn't think I could do on line classes. Oh, and I'm 50 years old but I'm coming to be the best I can. I hope to one day be motivational not like Deon, but like me by way of Deon. This man is simply a BLESSING.
@@user-sg8kq7ii3y You have no right to judge me. You have no idea what I have been through. So Im going to just pray for you. My brother went back to school at 51, now he has his masters. Think about the impact words have. Sad for you. By the way....I've already made, I'm just trying to enhance what I already have. #RN422YRS I must be doing my job correctly!
I know exactly what you mean. Coach Primes's speech just reminds us that we have to fight the good and run the race. He is not candy coating anything, just letting everyone know that it is time to stop whining. It is time to start working toward what we want and stop being satisfied with being mediocre. I pray for your future success in whatever path the Lord leads you.
White folk don’t allow Deion to bring killer rappers such as NLE Chopper to your school to corrupt the children - Deion is really a mindless egotistical individual with a lack character and judgement to led young adults
I disagree it got hokie and went on too long with this I’m coming bs. He had there attention early on but when he started repeating I’m coming in every line it was like he was trying to tell a joke or write a poem.
Black people don’t help black When u graduate send a check to help Hbcu need money Stop complaining about Deion leaving. He said they needed resources no one seemed to care Leave him alone Emptying your pockets and help schools is what needed to be done Look at the black boys in pris No one is helping the schools Wake up black people Money is needed Support black Deion can’t do it by himself
Facts...yeah my dude in da left back row. Took that cap off swiftly, then shook his hair loose....HE'S ALL IN! Coach Prime certainly noticed the respect.
^ Funny how none of y’all will most likely not accomplish anything even remotely close to what he has , yet y’all are questioning his credentials . One of the best NFL DB’s to ever do it , and one two championships over at JSU. Y’all get back to flipping burgers and get that hate out y’all heart
Coach Prime basically worked for free at JSU. He will probably never tell how much of his own money went into the program. That’s the type of man he is. How soon we forget this man almost lost a leg. He and his team are like no other. I am in MS and what he did for JSU and the city of Jackson was a literal real life miracle. Coach Prime is the definition of a righteous man and we are grateful and honored to have been blessed by his presence! I know people are saying that we are angry that he is leaving. A lot of people don’t know how to express their emotions. So, it’s really sadness being masked by anger. I can’t wait to see the blessings manifest in Colorado! MS ❤️ Coach Prime and his theme music 😊!
@@Triumphant144 he changed the culture at JSU stop hating he brought more talent into that organization than ever before generated more money for that school than ever before and put them on the radar yes kids will transfer but you can't say he didn't put eyes on the HBCU circuit once again what a lot of people don't know is that back in the day the HBCU circuit had all the athletes you could handle before the big schools integrated the NFL stop looking to them after he made it his duty to put them on the map and he did there are athletes there that didn't get the big looks that were good enough and he taught those young men real life lessons stop hating and congratulate the ascension he deserves it and a lot of those young men at JSU can transfer to a new university at a bigger stage and get a shot to showcase their talents
the kid in the back that took his hat off when Coach Prime talked about no hats or hoodies in the meeting... He is gonna make it. I love the immediate respect he gave his coach.
@@mofun5315 He’s the coach, not the player. He’s not the same as them and that’s the point. He’s been through it. He’s done it. And he’s succeeded at it. When they do it, they can wear the hat too, but until then, they’re not on his level.
Funny when you come back to this video after everything and look at his face, he basically came in and said idk where y'all gonna go, but ya not staying here

I love him! "No hats, no earrings, no cellphones"! You better not take a cellphone in his meetings! He got those young men saying "yes sir"! Very powerful speech!
A LARGE percentage of these kids ... oh let’s just throw out a percent ... let’s say 87% ... have never in their lives been around with Black male leadership. They are scared to death
People getting upset at Deion for bringing in new talent and coaches……this happens in the NFL and the college ranks…….if you want to build a winning team this is what you have to do. I think folks upset that he has the power to do what he wants….he earned it get over yourself.
I love when Coach Prime said 'don't get outside and start talking when I'm right here in front of you' we know how people now and days love to talk about people behind their backs and Coach definitely addressed it
There was a pucker factor, turtle heads, and silent farts. Half that room won´t be on the team next year. Especially the ones that he said didn´t show up.
He addressed them like the men they are hopefully working to become. Men say what we have to say respectfully to your face and talk it out like men, void of emotions.
"I'm coming" is all the man has ever had to say! What an honor it would be, to be coached by someone so powerful! Strap up boys spotlight just hit hard!!!
No hats. Just tons of jewelry and handbags. Gotcha coach. As the dude is wearing hats and shades like a boy. The team now look like every guy that steals from a gas station
wasup bro i'm here three months later and i'm thinking to myself "man what if woods took the i'm coming chant from here to impersonate coach prime during his birthday speech"
I am a Drill SGT in the U.S Army and he got me hyped up with that speech. That is the way we talk when we get brand new Soldiers in the first 72 hours. I feel bad for those guys. I hope they truly understand what's coming.
As an ex-semi pro football player with semi-father absenteeism I 100% agree sir. Lot of respect to you. I had learned the hard way throughout my football career
I like how the young man in the back snatched his hat off when Coach Prime said there will be no hats in the meeting. They better get ready because Coach Prime is definitely coming. The only games that will be played will be on the field. He’s your Captain now.💯🙏🏾❤️
@@DD-cs7kl Promises that were kept and left the program, city, and team and a better position. All without of any help from you...😆you social medialites are hilarious
I was a loser and pothead from late jr high through most of high school. Failed every class my freshman year. I gave my heart to the Lord the summer before my senior year. I tried out for football, and basketball quit both because I knew I would get no playing time. I went to a small enough college to where I was able to make the basketball team and played for three years and graduated with my Bachelor’s. Pretty proud of that.
It's crazy to me that he has the drive and motivation to do this. He's a hall of fame player, he was a super well paid analyst at CBS for years and then NFL network. He could have coasted, and he rolled up his sleeves and took on huge projects at JSU and now Colorado. His self-drive is unbelievable. How many HOF players do what he's doing? Super impressed with what he's been doing
He is hungry and is always challenging himself, most people make one challenge to their self and if they succeed sit back in their bowl of pride and tell the same stories. He is cut from a different cloth and won’t quit till he wins a title. I bet no more than ten players will make the cut out of that group. Their will be some sour faces but like he said, they will hug and kiss and go their way.
Thats not what you want to hear from your head coach. "I'M coming". Singular meaning him. He's a me first guy. A real coach would say, "WE'RE" coming, meaning his team. Don't know too many me first coaches who prioritize themselves and their son over the team that are successful.
@@kennedyopie2301 he was a selfish flamboyant person when he was a player. He was loud and flamboyant as an analyst. He had his own TV show. He has his own documentary show filming him. And he's constantly filming on social media. He wears shirts with his social media handle on the back while he's coaching games. Then at his press conference everything was "I". What part about that doesn't scream "me first"? Hes great at building his brand, I'll give him that. But building your own brand isn't conducive to building a winning culture for the collective. Deion has always been about himself and its not going to stop now.
@@babybison2881 yes that’s called having a personality, not everybody is going to like it but at the end of the day it produce results. He has earned the right to market and publicize his journey cuz that will inevitably translate to his team and show more of his teams talent. U can’t sit up there and critique a black man that has worked his ass off to be where he is just cuz he is more out there than a lot of coaches and athletes. Just like he is energetic, his energy spreads to his team and helps the, play the best they can every time.
I am now a Colorado Buffaloes fan. I am from California. But I been riding with Prime since FSU. I had #2 in high school because of him. I am a permanent passenger on the Prime train until the wheels fall off.
Boulder is a beautiful city and CU won a national championship in 1990. It got all the infrastructure to be a great football program. It got so much going for it it just needs the right recruits and coaching to be back on top. I think Deion sees all that. The recruiting territory the facilities the name the conference and thinks he can make better use out it. That all those advantages have been wasted. Especially with the expansion of the playoffs he can conceivably compete for championships.
When he said he’s going to push you to make you quit, and that he want the ones who will not quit. Those were the ones on the field playing against TCU that did not give up when they fell behind. So the point he made in this meeting became valid at the TCU game. We Coming.
