I thank Coach Prime for showing JSU and the entirety of HBCUs what is possible. He achieved more in 3 yrs at JSU than many coaches do in 10 or more. Perfect season - 1st time ever. College GameDay at JSU - 1st time ever. GMA appearance. New facilities, new practice field, and more people talking about HBCUs than I've seen in quite a while. This was never about him becoming an HBCU coach til he retires. He blessed us with showing just what's possible.
@lboogie1441..POSSIBLE IN WHAT??? POSSIBLE RUNNONG TO A WHITE INSTITUTION? HE COULD HAVE SHOWN WHTS POSSIBLE IN BUILDING YOUR OWN UP! LOOK WHT HE ACCOMPLISHED IN 3 YEARS, THINK OF WHT HE COULD HAVE DONE IN 10 YEARS, 15 YEARS, 20 YEARS??
same here. I am 76 yr old grandma who loves football ...blessed to know the Prime story thus far....cant wait for the finish. Thank you Lord for giving us a modern Job.
This school laid out the red carpet! Impeccable facilities!! I can't blame him at all for moving into his next blessing!! We all should be celebrating this black man right now and giving him our full support. We shouldn't be tearing him down. This is amazing and he deserves all this!!
BROTHER I AGREE WITH YOU💯AND I AINT EVEN BLACK THIS GOING TO ELEVATE AND MEAN SO MUCH MORE FOR YOUR PEOPLE AND CULTURE THAN BARRACK ACCOMPLISHED AND THATS ALOT BUT COACH GONNA BE AROUND FOR MORE THAN TWO TERMS SUCCESS BREEDS SUCCESS THATS WHY I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH NOT FOOTBALL BUT COLLEGE FOOTBALL
The fact that he set up his kids with an opportunity to excel….is the best power move of all times. Coach Prime is an excellent business man and father!
ME AS WELL I'LL PRAY FOR THE ONES WHO DIDNT FOR THEY BE SOULESS OR LESS THAN HUMAN IM GLAD I GOT TO SEE THAT CAUSE IVE NEVER BEEN A FAN OF#21 BUT AS MAN HE WENT STRAIGHT TO HERO JUST CAUSE OF THE GESTURE AND WHAT I FELT THAT WAS BEHIND IT THE LACK OF THAT IS WHAT WILL ALWAYS KEEP US DOWN HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS ☮️
I know one thing whoever was responsible for the design of that facility is amazing!!!. Every single detail in every room and down every hall way was immaculate. You can't take that away from CO, this thing is beautiful & bit overwhelming. Deion's gonna need a road map & his scooter back to get around this place.
so what? Have enough money, it will buy you anything. Boulder Colorado will destroy a person financially if you don't have the money to start with. I'm not impressed
My friend is a waiter in Boulder. He said prime came in and they were really excited but he was extremely rude and demanding to the staff. Hopefully he was just having a bad day.
And just like that, Coorado Buffalo's football next season is instantly relevant and watchable. I will be tuning in at every moment! I hope he brings back their old legends ...Kordell, Bienemy etc to speak with the kids. This is awesome!
CU just hired as their New Coach the only man on the planet who's played in a Superbowl and the World Series.Even Bo and Mike don't know that . People forget how many things he's done that no one else has done. He played in 2 MLB playoff games ( ATL Braves ) and played in a NFL game ( ATL Falcons) in a 24 hour period ‼️ One of the greatest collegiate Coaches ever Bobby Bowden referred to him as the greatest athlete he ever Coached . And Prime won't have time for players with egos only kids who come to work hard . That do it the right way . Time for the Buffs to return to National relevance and he will be bringing back all the legacy players and NFL HOF'ers to speak to your kids .
THE SEPARATE BUT EQUAL is really showing on the tour. Im sure the NCAA is working on this Jackson, Mississippi... no running water. Colorado 2 lap pools in the gym FOR JUST the football team.
Respect to coach prime! Not only did he work for himself to make it to the big stage as a coach but took his coaches he coached with since youth ball with him throughout each stage , that’s respect!
That facility is absolutely amazing. And having attended and worked at an HBCU, the only thing I can think of is: 1) how HBCU alumni has to invest more, and 2) HBCU's need more competent leadership. Congratulations Coach Prime!
@@newszn_ I worked within Institutional Advancement at a college and even helped Bennett College raise nearly $10 million dollars in 60 days. I know what I'm talking about. From the sound of it you have zero idea how "funding" works in higher ed. "Systemic inequality" has zero to do with it. There are HBCUs that are thriving because of great leadership and infrastructure. Spelman, Morehouse, Howard, NC A&T, FAMU and more. Too many HBCU leaders have zero clue on how to grow and also raise money, and it all points to leadership.
Been a cu fan for 33 years. Have had season tickets in my family for 65 years, can’t remember being more excited than this for a coach. It’s been sad seeing a once proud and strong program turn into rubble the past decade or so. For me cu football in the 90s is nostalgia and something I’ll never forget: if we could just get some of that back. It would be amazing man. So excited
@@andrewboyce7268 They were 1-11 last year..Do you think that team would have done much better in their old conference? But as a fan of University of Maryland football I can relate to what your saying. I thought they should have stayed in the ACC. But the money in the Big Ten pulled them away. Now they are in the same division as Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State. Right now that's an automatic 4 losses every year..SMH
@@willf.5608 yes actually. 1-11 is because CO was trying to recruit out of the west when its a Mid-West school. No one gave a shit until now. CO will automatically turn into a 8 win team with Prime. But he's doing this for the FL St job, he may stay 2 years max.
@@naturelover2292 I'm not hating. I hope he worked that deal out. It's not an argument it's hoping everyone is good. . It's not hate. It's dominate. Now leave me be. 😑
Sports - football especially - is BUILT on nepotism. Family and friends. Sons/entire families are given access, privileges and positions. It’s how it works, how the game is played.
I appreciate how his woman allowed him to digest this blessing that he's receiving stayed back and let him soak it all in real supporter it's a family change it's a life change and it's a big blessing
Florida State All American - Prime Time Born .. Atlanta Falcons 1st Round Select - Too Legit ... San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl Champion - High Stepin' .. Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champion - Dynasty making... Colorado Buffalo Head Coach - In Awe of it all ...says nothing .. Buckle Up ... pac 12 !!
That’s gonna be a big talking point for Deion as a coach. “You have everything in the facility, you guys are pampered. There’s guys that wish they were in your shoes, if you don’t want to be here just let me know and I’ll get someone who wants to play cause they would love all this” 😂
I'm excited to see what Coach Prime will bring to Colorado. He definitely gave JSU life and made it an atmosphere like no other. This is a good excuse to visit Colorado. #ImComing
After listening to several of his talks with the Jackson State kids I really think he’s going to be a super successful College Coach. I’m rooting for him!
I'm a JSU alumnus (undergrad) and I was a bit angry with Coach Prime for leaving JSU so soon, but now that I see what he and his staff have moved on to, I cannot blame him for making the decision he made. He left an awesome legacy and an awesome challenge for the next JSU HC, but he gave the school and HBCUs a lot. We are grateful and we wish Coach Prime the best. What an awesome welcome. May God bless his time and each and every one of his days at Colorado.
Great point ... I can understand being a bit let down with CP departure .... it's almost like he was a teacher that comes around once in a lifetime at which point you have to enjoy the moment(s) of his greatness. I think that he showed the SWAC how great a conference it is....and he did this by thinking outside of the box.... it's almost like if he'd stayed at JSU he would of benefited that institution with wins...but the frame work that he provided for modern day media coverage and corporate sponsorships should leave a lot of clues for JSU and the SWAC moving forward.
@@BaahBen This the part that hurts me the most. l understand the politics and the moves he has to make for him and his son Shedeur, but it does feel like those guys get the short end of the stick. Hopefully they have great leaders in their lives because lm sure this is a hard blow for many of those players.
That broght tears to my eyes when Deion on walked out to the stadium to see his new facility he deserves everything and more deoion is a professional at the NFL and college level get a man the respect he deserves
Love it the students just yelling and chanting . His kids is laughing. Coach Prime very humble not really noticing because he is focus and in his mind he knows this is GOD DIVINE!!!! WOW!!!! GOD IS AWESOME!!!! 🙂👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
What is up with all of these Grammy Award winning, Hallmark card, After School Specials in this comment section. DEION...KEEP UP THE BAD WORK. See you back at the NFL Network, once they boot your ass back.
Tommy Gunn - It’s hard to get reporters to call Black men Coach, period . . Or “Sargeant,” “Officer,” ... President... Mike Tomlin has been leading the Pittsburgh Steelers for over 15yrs and these reporters *still call out “Mike.” How many MORE years does the man have to be in the position to be recognized and acknowledged as THE Coach of the team, meanwhile, imagine hearing “Andy, what happened to the defense” in Kansas City and “Bill, why didn’t you” in New England. The disrespect is neverending. He could just stand there and ignore them until they get it and realize he’s not Mike but I guess that would take too long and he wants to eventually go home.
@@kendrickmoore1274 Colorado isn’t used to winning so he’ll be fine in that area, along with drawing the support from new sponsors he’ll do well. It’s more of a feel aspect, complete opposite audience.
As a long suffering CU fan (‘99), I feel I’ve earned the right to speak for us when I say THANK YOU Coach Prime for believing in us and injecting pure excitement back into this program. We will support you all the way!!!
Coach Prime, I know you’ll never read this but I want to say it anyway. You alone got me into the sport of football when I was a kid. I grew up outside Atlanta in the 90s and my dad screaming joyfully when you would fly down the field on returns made me wonder what all the fuss was about. You were the first NFL player who’s name I knew. I’m saying all this because I’m so happy a childhood hero of mine has been so blessed and still can be confident yet humble in a way not too many other men can. You’re an inspiration to us all sir. You and your staff deserve this as much as anyone. Good luck. -A lifelong Prime fan. PS: I hope you’re the head coach of the Falcons one day!
He left the way he was supposed to, on a great note. He had 2 SWAC championships and an undefeated season. Hopefully JSU and HBCUs will continue the momentum. Wish you the best Coach Prime.
@@courtlandsoulja2 he sold his recruits on picking the hbcu over the pwi offers they had because of the hbcu culture, he also said it wasn’t about money but now he’s literally leaving for a pwi and stated it for the money. Come on Na.
Growing up as kid from Lee County, FL I literally idolized this man and followed everything he's done professionally. Words can't express how happy I am for Coach Prime, his family and his staff. I know where the man comes from and the tribulations he's had to endure. GOD IS GOOD! Congratulations Sanders Family
@@TCS9GA stepping stone yes. You have to understand we're talking about a guy that believes if you're not moving forward you're moving backwards. He showing everyone he belongs and that it's possible to take the non traditional route. He improved everything at JSU from where it was prior to his arrival. It's a big picture strategic move. I wish I could explain the impact this man has had on so many peoples lives on a local level alone not to mention a national level. It's bigger than the white man for him, this is god's work for him to influence and help as many people as possible. The money is just a bonus, he's already made his money.
DEION deserves this just as much as any coach out there his talents will be measured on the field as before & DEION is always up for the challenge let's go get it Coach!!💯 🏆 Congrats 🎉
@@Goyarxrd perhaps but everyone in life should always aspire to improve their conditions at no one's benefit other than their own. I stand by my statement
@@Goyarxrd Oh man, grow up and stop with the victim mentality. You sound like a 5 y.o. Did he use JSU? Grow up!!! He used JSU, yet JSU (athletic department) got more done in those 3 years than in the previous 20 years.
@@GODFATHA3000 The whole conference sucks.....and im sure JSU could beat Colorado. Money talks. But colorado will never be home to him....that HBCU vibe will never leave his spirit.
You know coach I started out coaching little league in Broomfield Colorado went to high school coaching all together 14 years of best times of my life and sharing the Gospel with my kids was a Gift From God! May our Lord bless you keep you and may his light shine upon you!! Love you Coach!
Two Championships back to back and being undefeated. He has brought Sponsorships into Jackson and built a great program. We are happy for him and his coaching staff. Let's Go Coach Prime ! We love you and your family .
We are all extremely excited for Coach Prime! Congratulations! This is awesome! We will definitely be watching Colorado next season to support him in this new endeavor. WE CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON!
Coach Prime deserves all of the blessings because he does right by his family friends and all that’s around him…he has done all he could for JSU and he brought so much GREATNESS to that place…it’s now time for him to go and show the world that his GREATNESS can be spread any and everywhere….CONGRATS to Coach and his staff!!!
No problem with his decision. BUT, it was selfish to encourage any top recruit to turn down a POWER 5 conference over an HBCU knowing it's better for their careers just like it's better for his. HBCU's are a great option for players that can't play anywhere else.
@@skooney2883 So, that’s the only thing that I’m worried about because Travis truly only went there to learn from the greatest to ever do it…and I truly hope that he does go with Coach so that he is able to keep learning
This is what God does he elevates you when your obedient and walking in your purpose. This is a God move and when God is involved it don't matter what no man say. He's serving his purpose on this earth. Keep moving forward Coach Prime. I look forward to see what he does in Colorado. 🙏🏽💪🏾❤️😊👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Being a graduate of a HBCU, I was 50/50 on Coach Prime leaving JSU. When I saw the difference in the facilities though in this video…. I understand why he took the job. I just wish this was the normal at all schools especially HBCUs. I’ve been a fan of Prime Time since I was a kid and I will continue to watch all of your videos Jr. Much success to you Coach.
You do know it starts with donations lol Idk why blk people so against donations for the school. Yawl wanna see a difference they need big boosters. All the rappers that like flexing money where them donations, all yawl do is rap about gang violence how about making a change and donate.
Man, in his younger days he made his athletic feats look absolutely effortless. It was nothing but smooth lines and grace delivered lightning fast on both the diamond and the gridiron but you can see the price he paid here. It's tough when you see the all time greats like Prime and Bo revert back to mortals. Time remains undefeated.
His health now (particularly Prime's gait) has more 2 do w/ his circulation issues/two-toe amputation than aging. If not already, see his 60 Minutes interview on youtube.
As a JSU alumnus, thank you Coach Prime for bringing prestige back to JSU and for all HBCU's! You have done a lot in the short time you were here! You are definitely blessed by the hands of God and I pray for you and your family all the blessings coming to you!
I love what he did for the SWAC. I just believe he’s making this move too soon. You are an alum, what did your association do to try to keep Coach Prime?
The man said me and my boys been coaching together since the little leagues. This not normal for us. Brought a real tear to my eye!!! Real one Coach Sanders
I’m super happy for the assistant coaches and their families . That’s why he’s doing this. He said the only reason he would entertain these type of offers is for them. He seen 5 million before.
He's putting together a staff consisting of other coaches from other areas, quite a few aren't coming...TC the wide receiver coach definitely isnt..isn't... there's a couple more
This is how NFL coaches are made. It’s a direct path from college football. He’s laying the path for so many others. There’s no reason half of the NFL shouldn’t be coached by Black coaches at this point. They just don’t want to give up that prized position (like QB)
I grew up watching prime I loved watching him he was 49er I'm a niner fan I was at the catch I can't wait to see what happens at Colorado I'm so excited I'm actually in tears right now because of how many people he's going to help what a great man
AWESOME! My BIGGEST takeaway is THE CLASS that Deion and his Family showed. WE wasn't acting Brand New! That's how ALL OUR PEOPLE should move! I'm AMPED! Much success to you and the FAM! Deion Jr. The transition was aiight! Lmbao Keep doing wat ya'll doing! I love to see OUR people in this light! #TALENTED10th #BKSTANDUP
This puts a smile on my face! As a Buckeye fan, I have no connections to the state of Colorado or this team, but I’ll be rooting for them this upcoming season! Coach Sanders is truly what college football needed, and I hope those that play under him have success on the football field and most importantly…off the football field.
The expression on his face the whole time was priceless. He is leading the way and is showing what could be done. Colorado went all in and watch what happens over the coming years.
1.2% Black population. It’s sad that JSU couldn’t come up with the money. What he was about to do is upset the apple cart and black players return to HBCU’s.
@@starloszelson4541 This was never about HBCU's. Deion played at a Power 5 school and is going to coach at one now. JSU was about him gaining experience, building his coaching brand and helping those young men. He should have never spewed that nonsense about wanting to help HBCU's or encouraged any top recruits to come to one.
@@starloszelson4541 glad your broke out the race card, disgraceful & disgusting. It's about the players, coaching and winning once again, not skin color. That's why they hired Coach Prime, he's a winner and winners win! Obviously you've never been to Boulder, we'll support him, his staff and players 100%
I agree, you can see the happiness in his eyes as they toured. I can imagine he said to himself that he arrived. He was faithful with Jackson, even with the little that they had, look how he was blessed with more. Coach Prime and family deserve it. I see that he was walking with a little limp? Maybe it’s such a big University to travel. By foot. He needs a golf cart, I’m sure they have one reserved for him. Congrats Mr Sanders! God bless you Sir.
@@Hello-kv4hb The limp is due to his near life ending blood clot that he had going on and had to have a good portion of his lower leg muscle and tissue removed.
You love to see this. A true leader bringing his family with him. As a HBCU alumni, I just want to say thank you for the spotlight you put on our universities.
Anybody else notice he had his daughter and Shadeur, who are JSU student-athletes with him, his older son Deion Jr was behind the camera and he had other assorted people in his entourage, but Shilo was nowhere to be seen?

You can how much of a wow is on his face. These kids have it all. I can tell how happy he is for his kids to enjoy all that. That means a lot to him. But you also know hes looking around like what.
My emotions, I remove from this post. Coach I'm happy for you and your family. What an effort to recruit you Sir. You deserve all the bells and whistles. You gave a portion of your own income to improve things at JSU. Doing that alone proves where your heart resides. Because of your health Colorado's campus I hope make your work easier. Thank you again, my heart is big enough to love and enjoy JSU and Coach Sanders. Wishing you the best 🤗💞🙏
I'm so happy u said this... I know ppl are in there feelings and rightfully so but this man did ALOT in 2 yrs. He donated half his salary to upgrade the facility. Plus the notoriety he brought to JSU and the way he treated the city was AMAZING 👏🏽 🙌🏾!
Thanks for the video. Coach Prime made this white guy from New Jersey who hasn’t watched a college football game in over 20 years addicted to JSU. I’ve learned so much about HBCU’ over the last year. This is bittersweet, but I understand it’s time to level up. So happy for Coach, his staff and his family. I guess I’m a Buffaloes fan now. Prime you have no idea how many people from all walks of like are following you. Now it’s time for the transfer portal, hard work and the magic of Prime Time. ❤❤ When you show this video you have to understand why it was time to grab this offer.
Congratulations Coach Prime. Thank you for excellence at JSU! You showed all the HBCU's the blueprint on how to be victorious and so much more. Congratulations, you and your family deserve this opportunity. Much love and success in Colorado.
I love how he carries himself. Did u peep how every time the tour guide pointed or showed him something he looked where he wanted to. He do his own thing on his own accord and i respect that.
I love that he’s bringing us all on his journey, what a dream come true this must feel like and he has done of his kids and lady love by his side as he levels up yet again! I’m here for it ALL!!! Go Coach Prime, I wish you all the success your life can hold!🏉🏉🏉
