The great thing about Deku is that this is him at his absolute lowest (putting too much responsibility on himself, always on high alert, feeling guilty about what happened in the battle with Shigaraki, seeing himself as a danger to his loved ones, etc.). BUT he still continues to be a kind person. His sense of heroism never falters and it’s a part of him that he never loses.

Despite his scary appearance, Deku still has a pure heart

"Someone who looks like that." Now I kind of feel bad for the inhuman looking students of UA if they're also treated with suspicion just based on appearance alone.

I like how gentle Deku sounds. He’s got All Might’s power, but he’s a very different kind of hero; the one his times needs.

Even with all the trauma he’s gone through, Deku’s spirit hasn’t diminished at all. He’s definitely a true hero

I love that even though this is his “edgy” arc, he’s still best boy.

He may be a vigilante now, but at his core he will always be a hero.

Deku's indeed a true hero

Deku is the combination of Batman and Spider-Man.

Even with everything that's happened to him, and his borderline self-destructive mission that he prioritizes, Deku still goes out of his way to help a scared person. He doesn't even fight the people attacking her, he tries to diffuse the situation as calmly and peacefully as possible. That is a true hero right there.

All Might chose his successor perfectly. Deku was weak all his life, and it helped to shape his view of the world and how it treats the weak and helpless. He truly is the hero that the world needed.

I got teased a lot about this “Dark Deku” and I expected someone a lot more angry and terrifying like a monster. Glad to see he still takes the time to be a good person

The lady that Deku is protecting looks like a Moomins character! She is so cute, we must protect her!

Horikoshi gets that citizens putting the law into their own hands, becoming vigilantes, isn't always a good idea. For example, some will start attacking someone based on their own personal biases. I can also see the Horikoshi is a huge Marvel fan. Getting all X-Men up in here...

This is why deku is my favorite anime character. Even when he’s suffering inside, he still has a pure and kind heart. He’s so willing to help others that he forgets to even care for himself. Incredible!

Deku is really one of a kind. Thats one of his biggest strengths. He's never quick to judge anyone.

So many characters, when going through their “dark” arc, lose sight of who they are. They get a hard edge, they start crossing lines they shouldn’t, etc. But Vigilante Deku is the exact culmination of everything he already was. It’s proving true his very conception of being a hero. His only fault is that he’s not taking care of himself, and even that is also who he’s always been. Of course the guy who would sacrifice his limbs early on would also sacrifice his mental and emotional health. And just like with his limbs, in the moment he’s probably correct to make the sacrifice, but it isn’t sustainable long term.

I just wanna give that boy a hug… he most definitely needs one 🥺

This is why I love him, despite crisis after crisis, him not even having the time to taking care of himself, and so much more burdens on his shoulders, he makes sure that anyone he sees in need of help is okay and at the least knows he’s gonna make it better ❤️

We've only seen this precious tall shark/fox woman for barely 3 minutes in this one episode. But if I was a hero in that world, and if anything happened to someone as precious as her, I would SMASH everyone in that block and then hang up my cape.

Seriously she is adorable. Does she even have a name? Love how all this random design and detail get put into a random character like this. Just goes to put more life in the setting.

Midoriya truly remains pure even at his lowest points. We love him for that.

what I love about this is that despite everything Deku has been through, he will always selflessly help those in need or know what is right or wrong. Deku truly knows what it means to be a hero.

All-might is a symbol of "peace" while Izuku is a symbol of "kindness" because no matter what anyone does to Izuku himself, he never hates or pities anyone for any reason, He sees the good in others & sees a chance for them to be a better person than they are right now. Izuku chooses to *FORGIVE* even if he can never forget it or get over it, because Izuku will *ALWAYS* be selfless.

*I guess the least someone can do is make sure she’s not scared and alone in the rain. Still, I’m a little concerned about letting those people keep those weapons since they’re so willing to point them at anyone.*

Deku is not just that girl's hero hes also my hero

Despite being in a dark state, he still wants to be Japan's future #1 Pro-Hero

Even being driven over the edge, he still acts like a hero

Even going full Jason Todd on us, he's still a nice guy.

This just reinforce the very truth. True heroes can only reveal itself in times of hardships and despair. In peaceful times even if there are 'heroes' running around, it's hard or if not impossible at times that Real True Heroes can be seen. Their time to shine are always more noticeable in a world in darkness such as what's happening now in MHA.

Deku really is a true hero in a world that's continually losing trust in heroes.

I really want to see more from this polymorph lady character. I don't know what it is just something about the design of the character and the personality is really unique and I honestly think the character is adorable. It's not a feeling that I really get from characters very much. It's like the gentle giant feeling you get from whales and elephants. You just look at them and despite their size you know how sweet and innocent they are...
