Shigaraki being scared of Deku being paralleled to Kotaro being scared of Tenko is just too peak bro😭

We kinda need the side characters perspective, because this truly is Deku's "I AM HERE" moment. All Might wasn't the greatest of all time just because he could win any find. He was the greatest because the people believed in him as if he was a god. This is Deku's moment to step out of All Might's shadow, and show the world he's the man. That would be meaningless without the populace getting behind him.

This chapter is all a call back to the All might vs All for one when everyone was watching it on TVs and phones in the early chapters.

This is where we differ. I loved this chapter. I've never seen MHA as a battle central story, it's always been about the characters and the world for me. The fights are nice, but not why I read it. This is exactly the type of chapter that made me fall in love with the series

If eri ever becomes a hero her hero name should be chronocorn, it’s a combination of the words chronokinesis (a word for time manipulation) and unicorn or alicorn (because of her horn). 5:54 this got me because the creator passed away along with the dragon ball creator 😩😥🥺.

I kinda liked this chapter. It feels like it finally pays off Deku becoming the greatest hero by having people slowly recognize that. I've always felt that Deku's merits go unnoticed by the general public, with his classmates and teachers most of the time being the only people to give him his due. It happened with Stain and Overhaul, and to an extent when he fought Shigaraki during the War Arc. So it's nice to finally see Deku get some recognition.

Mannn Horikoshi loves teasing the readers with the most intense, high stakes, creative, and fun fights just to never give us the full depiction of the action 😭 anime adaptation will deliver im sure

Copying and pasting what I wrote in the comments of another video because I think it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary to see the side characters’ comments and continue to show the world around Deku and Shiggy during this fight: I think the significance of Kaminari saying that Deku doesn’t feel like All Might is…. All Might was able to create an illusion. When people watched All Might fight villains, they had the luxury of being able to ignore a lot of what was actually going on in society. Because All Might shined so brightly, people were almost able to feel like there was no danger at all. The thing about our boy Deku is, he lifted the veil. No illusions. Everyone now sees the fragility of society in its most raw form. We have a teenager who is putting every ounce of his being on the line and he isn’t smiling. He’s suffering. While All Might put on theatrics and faked a smile in order to create the illusion of peace, Deku is authentic and is suffering for the sake of everyone. No one can deny his suffering and now everyone is awake with regard to what heroes really go through and who true heroes really are. This dark reality is unsettling, but it creates a connection between heroes, civilians, and villains; everyone is simply human. Everyone is in this together. Ignorance is bliss. No longer can civilians say “that’s not our job, the heroes got us” because the veil has been lifted. That’s why Kaminari has a slightly unsettled feeling. That’s why we need to know what other characters are thinking. Story telling isn’t just about throwing punches. It’s about what said punches mean

I’ve never EVER expected the my hero series to become a battle lusted battle. It’s so great how far it’s come. I’m so glad how deku has grown so much. Horikoshi (I think that’s how you spell it) has really out done himself. It’s enough to make so many people at once cry. The fandoms doesn’t matter. It’s for the story, characters, growth, and heart warmth. for me, it’s genuinely the fights.

Kaminari, the difference between All Might and Izuku is that you, like everyone else, saw All Might as a god amongst men. You never saw him lose, always coming out on top with a smile on his face and hardly a scratch on him. But you've been next to Izuku since UA started for the school year. You saw him get hurt, exhausted, and bedridden. You don't worry for him because you don't believe in him, but because he's your friend and you don't want to see him getting hurt as much as he already has.

The thing is Deku is one of the few characters that you don't see kohi spends a lot of chapters explaining all of his thoughts.. Which in the end shows us the simplest ideas and thoughts of deku..unlike characters such us endeavor, bakugi or shigaraki...However in this chapter i saw why..you got to see everyone speaks about him and that way of his thinking or trait of his character that made them like, believe and get inspired by him while he fights alone against the final boss even though his broken,can't breath and half dead.. Making him appears as what gran torino said in the s2 "he is sleeping monster" just to achieve what he believes in..and the world is seeing what this 16YO is doing.

You wanted a whole chapter of Deku ripping appart a meatball made of fingers??? That's not even a fight though? It was way more important to do a check outside before the mind battle really starts and everyone else is completely locked out.

Ngl I hate when a thing only shows you the fight it becomes boring and stale if we just see full fights 24/7 seeing the world's reaction and the people who we built up see these fights and then not just being stagnant till needed makes the world better

We're seeing how the world is reacting to their fight, this is deku's "i am here" moment. The fight isn't just about throwing punches. It has deeper meaning

Tbh it’s up to the animators to do extra for fight scenes too. I’ve yet to see anything like flecturn vs deku fight hopefully when it’s time to animate, somebody will take the time to make these last battles very exciting

If "having the worst fights" is the consequence of showing us how events effect people and the world around them while also using the chance to make side characters a little more relevant instead of just dismissing and never seeing them again. Then that's fine with me. I think it's one of MHAs charms.

Good video but i don't know what you where cooking at 5:40 this chapter is one of the reasons why MHA fights are so good the emotionally charged elments from background characters as well as build up from previous chapters makes every action that Deku makes leaves you on the the edge of the seat. MHA battles was never about the choreography

No offense, but I like the emotional moments way more than the action we wouldn't even be invested in the shigaraki vs deku fight if it weren't for the emotional moments. Seeing Kota and Eri refer to Izuku as 'big bro' is adorable and to me speaks way louder to what Deku has done for them than the fights we saw him do, it shows that Kota has regained hope in heroes, eri truly knows what it's like to be happy and that she doesn't want to feel scared anymore, that people can and will help them.

5:40 What a such huge L take lol this criticism makes no sense at all. It's been many chapters Deku & Shigaraki are fighting with many amazing visuals, but there is way more deep and meaningful plot points around to it. Horikoshi is building up Deku's biggest moment ever in the story and everyone watching and cheering for him is extremely necessary. The whole point of the flawed hero society is that they cannot depend on a single person, that being All Might, which is something was brought with Denki in this chapter. This section of the video only to try downgrading the core theme of the story and ask for a pure generic fight alone is ridiculous. Plus the cherry on top of saying MHA has the worse fights in shounen which is another false affirmation. Videos and unfair takes like this is what brings MHA down everytime.

I think the strength of MHA doesn’t lie on the actual fights, but rather the emotions behind the fight. This chapter was amazing. I understand that we are constantly getting deviated from the actual fight but I believe it was never meant to be about a physical fight. What awaits next is more interesting.

Things I think will happen. 1. Kacchan will reappear to help deku stop shigaraki. 2. Eri will get a quirk awakening that will allow her to help deku. 3. Shigaraki will become tenko again but he will have bit one for all and the original all for one. 4. While seeing each others memories bit deku and shigaraki will see a memory of deku’s dad. 5. Deku and shigaraki will both lose all their quirks.

Good video, but I don't understand where you're coming from about seeing the entire fight in this particular moment. For one, Deku is literally just ripping through fingers to get to Shiggy. That's not much of a fight, more so a step to get to the fighting, as Deku can't touch Shigaraki at all currently. Second, cutting to other characters for input has always been done in MHA, a lot of other Shonen do it too, it's called making the fight impactful. Think about it, without all the emotional weight behind AFO vs All Might earlier in the series, what would you have for that fight? I think around less than 6 actual attacks were exchanged there. Neither All Might or AFO did anything spectacularly cool in terms of choreography. But the cutting back to characters like Deku, or Japan watching, or the newscasters, that's what made it so tense. It really made you understand that this man is the last symbol of hope, fighting against the ultimate evil. If he loses it's over. I'm not sure who's saying MHA has some of the "worst fights in shonen" but that's an utterly stupid take. Sure fights can be all DBZ style with nonstop hands being thrown, but I'd suggest reading up on how to progress a story and characters *through* fights, as opposed to stopping a story to show a cool fight. There's a big difference.

I'm gonna disagree with you with there not being great fights in this series, but it's kind of the point that they don't resolve every battle with a big fight when it comes to the kids, particularly Deku. Deku doesn't want to hurt people or want to fight, really. He says it right from day one: he just wants to help people. One of my favorite cartoons growing up is Justice League/unlimited. I always liked the characters and how they acted in and out of costume, but it wasn't until I watched the episode Flash and Substance that I realized why I liked them. For all his power, the Flash, Wally West, was ultimately just a nice guy. He gave medical advice to a cab driver with bad knees, he checked in on some fishermen and shot the breeze, he was going to paint an old lady's fence, and to tie it up he appealed to the Trickster who knew he was mentally ill and worked to be his friend rather than his enemy. The true mark of a hero isn't, and should never be, the ability to bench press a planet. It's handy, make no mistake, but you won't make any affirmative change if all you see are nails in need of a hammer. It's why characters like the Flash particularly have museums in the DC universe because they demonstrate what genuine human kindness can do in this world where we are overly cynical and politically biased. Deku embodies this heroism at its finest. He never wanted to be the strongest hero. In fact, being the strongest has been his curse more than his blessing from damaging his body to putting a target on his back. But power never changed who he truly was and what he wanted to be: a hero like All Might whose body moved without thinking with a smile perpetually parting his lips. (Sorry for the long reply. In case it wasn't obvious, I'm very passionate about this topic.)

Well, I am so intrigued to see how this will continue.We still have several other scenes and Battles going on, and something tells me that the tide will soon turn once more in Shigarki's and the villains favor, requiring more assistance to Deku. One can only hope Horikoshi will keep the goods coming and include and use again more characters as much as possible 😊

I mean dude, all Deku does is move forward by tearing to pieces the fingers, there is no skipped fight. We're better off getting character interactions instead

I feel like i need to say this, MHA may not have the BEST fights but i disagree with the whole WORST fights, now i don't know what your tastes are but frankly i have enjoyed what has been going on here because the fights have all been personal in nature...Shoto VS Dabi, Ochako VS Toga, even the PLF before attack on the hospital was personal and i felt that does stories needed to be told. The same goes for Midoriya VS Shigaraki is personal and needs more than them just beating the shit out of each other.

I'm so hyped for the next chapters of mha!! Maybe in the next chapter, it'll finally be confirmed that AFO gave the Decay Quirk to Tenko Shimura.

Deku finally confronting Shigaraki’s past while everyone else is going to the hospital to get their wounds treated especially Ochaco who needs saving the most 😢 and we still need Aizawa, Mic and Kurogiri and Sero’s big moment at Takoba Stadium against Gashly too which I’m thinking it’s going to be 1 chapter just like the other fights like Jaku Ruins and Troy last 1 chapter

I have a feeling Deku will not be #1, even if he gets his powers back. He doesn't lift people up the way All-Might did. He's got the power, but he doesn't have the charisma.

For anyone wondering about ochaco. Even though she’s in bad shape, she will still make it. Bakugou was on near death but if he can make it, so can she. Plus there is a vision of the future where ochaco is there and bakugou is there too and he survived.
