I met Del in Germany in 1979 when I was there in the army. What a nice man and a great performer. Thanks for posting this.

The back up singer is George Owens, Del's lead guitar player. That's some tenor harmony isn't it?? George is retired from playing these days, and is Vince Gill's road manager.

what you are seeing is an electric banjo . It is not a guitar soslo and it is played by the legendary Buck Trent !

Buck Trent is still amazing!! - that banjo I believe was built by Sho-bud. It has a bender in it (like a b bender in a guitar) I guess we guitar players steel enough banjo licks its only fair they start steeling guitar solo's!!
