Del "The Patriot" Wilkes has traveled a seriously tough road - prescription pill addiction that at its worst found him taking 120 pills a day; 10 months in prison; and two bad injuries that ended his pro-wrestling career. But somehow, he rehabbed, recovered, found God, and reclaimed his life! And Del details that story, very candidly & honestly, to Steve! - 9/8/20

I love Del’s honesty here about his problems. Obviously a tough guy, SCU football legend and awesome pro wrestler, but addiction can get to anyone. Still sad over his passing, RIP Patriot

RIP Del, you seemed like a good- guy just trying to make a living. Thank you for your commitment to entertaining us and not playing backstage politics. Rest in Glory.

I can't believe the extent of this man's addiction. It's really insane to contemplate. I loved the Patriot, and I am glad Del overcame his struggles and found peace. But 59 is still too young. RIP. The Stars and Stripes are waving in Heaven.
