Delaware Striped Bass Run! (Fall 2022)

Every fall, the striped bass make there way up lots of Delaware rivers and creeks to feed up on baitfish before the winter. This creates the opportunity for fishermen like myself to catch big stripers out of unique little fishing spots! On this day I went out to my favorite Delaware creek looking for the stripers and I was rewarded for my efforts! Not only did I catch multiple stripers, I caught a real nice one as well!

Grab a pack of 1/4 jig heads. Cloudy / stained water under spins. Throw a random swim trailer on it. I don’t miss many bites. When I do they come back

Check the mouth on tung see if it’s a hybrid

it may have been a hybrid due to the broken up lateral stripes on its side

Man i am having so much trouble trying to catch Striper. Do I go during low tide or high tide?

High tide is best, but you can catch them at low tide too! I always do really well after it rains

That's crazy how those fish bent those hooks. Check the tide for this day and when it last rained put those two elements together and could have another solid day. Great job David 👏🤙

Go as far inland as you can go! They’ll be right below the spillways at just about every Delaware pond. They like to stack up in the rapids below the spillways.

@@bignasty6403 McGinnis spillway hasn’t produced well for we with stripers in the past, but in the general area, I would go to the mispillion river in downtown Milford. Fish behind Arenas restaurant 😉
