Thanks for making these videos, they are quite helpful. I play each week as the only electric at my church. Although I have been playing guitar many years as semi-pro, I was humbled when I started playing contemporary worship. I greatly value these tutorials and offer encouragement to press on.

Wow, this is very well done--thank you Matt. That Duesenberg & Morgan combination is a great sounding, very solid foundation/platform for letting your well chosen effects really shine. Appreciate how you exploit the Strymon Timeline to its fullest, using it so well--and most importantly--so _musically_! Take care

Super helpful. Only thing I might add is how to properly use the Tap button. On my pedal, you're supposed to tap in the quarter notes. I'm not sure if that's universal. Also, I still don't understand milliseconds, and for pedals seeking that input, I'm totally lost.

Hey man, I love your vids. Is it possible to know what church you play at and/or if that church has a live stream? I would love to see you play live! Just curious. Thanks and God bless 🙏!

Hey Daniel! Of course. You can find our Church's RU-vid here: ru-vid.com/show-UCP8M8gc-VQGAEakTrS4kfXQ That being said, I am one of the worship pastors on staff so I don't get to play lead electric as I am leading vocally. That being said, you can hear some of our other fantastic players who use these very same videos to practice with!

What are your delay settings when you do your swells? Also what reverb do you have on for those swells? Also in your other videos? Thanks.

In this video, i was not using any reverb for the swell portion. That was all delay on the Timeline. As for my typical swell settings on the timeline, i have my delay before my reverb in my pedal chain so not only is my dry signal getting affected, so are the repeats from the delay. I don't vary my delay from my typical settings so they're usually set in the 40-50% dry/wet mix and 3 or 4 repeats before tailing off. The reverb from my Big Sky covers all those higher settings and creates a big and full wash of sound. What overdrive I have on is also a huge factor in the fullness of my swells.

What Bpm/Ms you use for Quarter, Dotted 8 and Eight Note delay??
@CurrentWorshipCollective

HOME Worship it really depends on the song. There’s no hard rule on which bpm works for each delay rhythm. You can find uses for each rhythm at any bpm. The lead line itself is what really dictates the rhythm selection.
