@@jimmypage1969 but on the other hand, I do think that its not helping him at all if he's not given enough game time, just as you said. Jose should start him more against the 'smaller' teams. And on his part, he needs to start grinding hard in training to show that he deserves to play. And he also should show maturity. In one of their losses(i think it was to Wolves) he threw a tantrum like a little kid and got into an argument with Eric Dier, you can also find that clip on RU-vid.
I used to look up to Dele as a player, but after watching his interview and hearing his life story now I look up to him as a human being, what an example of someone owning their past

I think we forget how good Dele was for Spurs. Even with Ange Ball in full effect, we are still missing an AM that has the quality to make the difficult look as easy as Dele did.

I've seen some of the greats at Spurs over the last 50 or more years but that Poch Team around 2017/18 was magnificent to behold. Dembelle, Alderweirald, Son, Kane, Ericson, Vertongen and Coco.......just amazing.

Remember being 10, first getting into football and Dele was my favourite player. This guy made me fall in love with the game and I'll always be rooting for him because of it.

His story reminds me of once a great player from my nation, Hungary, called Balázs Dzsudzsák. He was playing for my local team when he was really young, he was so good in fact, that it earned him a move to PSV, for two seasons straight he was the star player of that PSV side, and all the best teams in Europe wanted to sign him. He for some reason chose a russian club that just signed players like Samuel Eto'o and Roberto Carlos, and he believed in the project... and the money sadly, they later lost funding and after a poor season he left the club. After that Dynamo Moscow was the next stop, and he still showed some greatness there but nowhere near the level he was once at... after this it all went downhill, playing in Turkey and then the Emirates for a few seasons, with more or less successful seasons, but at this point he was older and no big club wanted to buy him. For the last two seasons he's been back at my local team, and obviously he didn't have the career that everyone anticipated but we still respect him. Even if Dele might not be the player he once was, I believe we should still respect him for what he did for the club, and hope he can still play his football, even if not in a top club, I just wish he'd enjoy the beautiful game again.

Technically he is superb, I don’t know what happened. Those first 3 seasons he was unreal, I don’t know if we will ever see that version of Dele Alli again, the hunger doesn’t seem to be there, the spite, the confidence, I so hope he comes back…

Spurs should resign Dele. He can regain his confidence because he never lost the talent he has. He’s only 27 years old and still has a lot of football yet to play. What he needs is a place where he feels safe, loved and looked after. But he needs to be a committed professional off the field. He needs to work even hard, be more focused and disciplined. Bring him back home. Mental illness is something that is very serious and does not discriminate. Dele and now Richarlison who recently opened up about his struggles is very sad. I am really pulling for both of them.
Some amazing goals on here - especially the Palace and Watford ones from this list. I love the exquisite finish against Arsenal in the Carabao/League Cup. Those headers against Chelsea from Eriksen's crosses too. Spurs fans are so lucky to have seen Dele Alli grow and flourish as a #THFC player.

Dele began to show some of the class we know he has in that half for Everton against Crystal Palace. I was sorry to see him leave Spurs but realize that his tenure had become untenable at Spurs. I sincerely hope he makes it all the way back and beyond the heights he had achieved at Spurs (just not against Spurs😀.
The reason why he doesnt score as much is because people dont flick the ball up for volleys for him, and be is not as ambitious any more, he has lost his hunger.
I don’t want to think Dele Ali lost his confidence, but I think bending to Jose Mourinho’s coercive rule is every players headaches and Mourinho has a history of having issues with players who don’t bend to his own rules...I think he should be allowed to play with his own experience, skills and style that way he would be motivated to do more for the club and Mourinho
