The audio of this interview was recorded at Late Dele Ojo's residence in year 2010, when I just started the interview segment of my program, Agbaletu. The visuals was recorded at the same location in 2015 January. I brought them out from my archive for entertainment and information purpose. James Ogundele Ojo passed on in year 2018 at 81years old.

Mr. Dele Adeyanju, aka Agbaletu, the Lord will reward you bountifully as you have dedicated yourself and efforts to help revive some of the lost glory of our musical legends. There are so many recordings of these people that were not heard of, but with your interviews and interactions with them, people now know how they were started and where the good Lord has made them to sing the songs 🎵 of their Ebenezeries. May your 🌟 star continue to shine. Baba Dele Ojo was a very honest and humble man, unlike some of the people whom you have previously interviewed. We appreciate you for doing this, my brother.🙏

Dele Ojo the great legend. The first and only time I saw him in real life was in 1986 at Merry Makers Record store adjacent Rational Bookshop Òkè Bọ́là Ìbàdàn. The sales person in that record store on that day was a photographer called Classical Photos. It was easy for me to identify the Great Dele Ojo in his French suit because I had previously been playing some of his music like: Ẹni afẹ́ lamọ̀, Iwa rere lo laye, Darling yeye I love you so much, Ori loníse, Terena Terena tere, Christiana oh Christiana

Wow, Baba Dele Ojo was musician that my late mum called to play during the funeral ceremony of her mother in 1973. Then, he was living at Lodge Street, not far from UMC Demonstration school Ibadan. RIP

This is fantastic. The experience he shared about Fanikayode showed how Nigerian resources have been wasted by those governing them from time immemorial

Haa ! Dele Ojo was one of the greatest juju musicians of yesteryears. I have a collection of his works on an audio cassette which I keep in my suitcase for fear of possiblity of getting lost ! AGBALETU, the Lord shall continue to bless you. Amen. In the video interview, however, Dele Ojo forgot a fact : his first record was truly ENI A FE LA MO, but the 2nd side of that record is ARA ORUN, not AKUMANPE. The flip side of AKUMANPE is EJA OLOHUN LELE. Thanks.

When his finance became bad I wonder why he didn't return to America where he got so much money to buy four cars when he returned back home. Lesson is you should quick to take wise decisions.

Dele, it was the type of this man's guitar that made love him so much in the 60s. That "akkumape" record was very popular in the 60s, but I don't know it was his first record. We listened on the Redifusion box then. Please is there any way I can chat with u?
