i love this, i bought the single when it was released, and still have it. Written by the guys who wrote the Real Thing's 1st 2 hits, i always wondered how much bigger a hit it would have been had they recorded.released it ...........................
Very 'Real Thing', hence the Ken Gold connection and that signature 'Barry White' string sound he loved to mimic. He'd later go on to take further artistic license with the CHIC sound; 'You & I, and the excellent 'Darlin' I Think About Ya' being the result. Evokes some great memories when you savoured every moment a soul or reggae act made an appearance on Top of The Pops.

What a great disco track from 40 years ago. Only made number 22 but i remember it well. Happy days of spinning the discs at The Bees Knees in Bolton. used to get 1000 people on a Wednesday night and beer was 20p a pint. Great days and not a mobile phone to be seen.Life seemed more relaxed then.
Hello Jack. Yes 1000 on a Wednesday night. I used to work in the upstairs room but occasionally in the big room downstairs where the DJ booth was right in the middle of the dance floor. Before that i was at Scamps on Bradshawgate. Oh happy days!!!
... thus,in 1982,for the album "Deuces High"; for the first time,Delegation is only a duo (=Ricky Bailey and Ray Patterson...);and in 1983,they recruit Kathy Bryant(the first, only and last female member in the history of the group) and record their last album(a 2-titles album,in fact) before they disbanded
The early days' Delegation... when the group comprised Len Coley,Roddy Harris, and Ricky Bailey(founder and leader of the group...) now, this was in 1976... later the line-up would change again again, with Len Coley leaving and being replaced by Bruce Dunbar; later again,it's Roddy Harris who will leave, being replaced by Ray Patterson; that line-up would remain the same until the end of 1981/early 1982,when Bruce Dunbar leaves...
