Sometimes when you create a Table of Contents, there are heading levels that may have bold in them. However, the TOC styles in the Styles dialog box are NOT bold. Why does this happen? Watch this video to find out!
Hi Chrissy Girl, I am very happy that it helped you. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to send me a comment. Have a great day! Michelle Seitz
It doesn't work all the time: Press ALT-F9 > to show the TOC Field Code. At the end of the Field Code after the last quotes: type \*charformat then press F9 then ALT+F9 --- DONE!
Hi Mark, Without looking at it, it's difficult to tell but in the Heading and TOC styles on the Style pane, uncheck the "Automatically update" check box. If that doesn't work, please feel free to send me the document so I can take a look at it. Send to support@formattingformula.com. Good luck! Michelle Seitz
One more thing, the only way I got the Bold to stop in the TOC was to copy the entire document into a new template and recreate the TOC without copying it from the original. So leave the TOC out of the copy and paste. Let me know if this helps. Michelle Seitz
