I remember the first time that I watched that film. It made me extremely anxious but I couldn’t stop watching and it only seemed to last 10 minutes like the whole thing distorted my reality
Looked all over the place in search of this particular song after watching Enter The Void. Thankfully wiki helped me find out. Now here I am listening n daydreaming.
And ANOTHER way thst Doctor Who and Delia Derbyshire are related! Here's another one, beside the main theme: There's this other song by Delia, called "Ziwzih Ziwzih OO-OO-OO-OO" (/watch?v=jetzY-W78gg), which she wrote for an ITV adaption of a story by Isaac Asimov as part of their own sci-fi series "Out of the Unknown", where some robots climbed onto a spaceship and began worshipping it and chanting its serial number; Those same robot costumes were used in the Doctor Who story "The Mind Robber"!
Actually, that's a bootleg that included the play of the same name and included all the officially released material from different Radiophonic CD's released by the BBC, except the stereo mix of "Noah" from the Retrospective collection or the two Mark Ayres stereo remixes of the Dr Who Theme.
Yes,but she was born as Walter,I believe, but always felt her true nature was female.Anyway, yes, she was indeed great,I would like to listen to her Sonic Seasons album again sometime after not hearing it for nigh on forty years,
this should've been a score for a 2nd doctor era story, where they find themselves in what would usually be a cliffhanger scenario where they are in danger, but instead the doctor just lights up a cigar rather than deal with the problem, with jamie and zoe protesting in fear
Do you mean Wendy Carlos? The lady who did the music for A Clockwork Orange? She originally used a man's name to be taken more seriously. If that's who you mean, then I believe this pre-dates Wendy's great stuff.
Blue Veils and Golden Sands...Yet ANOTHER way that Delia is related to Doctor Who! her piece that was named that way, as well as some other pieces she made including "The Delian Mode", all made up the incidential music for the 1970 Doctor Who story "Inferno".
Was this before Walter Carlos,I wonder? Also, could the theme from Doctor Who be the first ever rhythmic electronic loop track? If so she deserves high status, and if not she deserves moderate adoration.
ok how about just dubstep and the other genres that are supposed to make you want to headbang or whatever. im not referring to every electronic piece of music, just the obnoxious ones that have no depth to them. ignore my wording of "extremes". stockhausen is not obnoxious. i dont care for his stuff but it is not "filthy". what i meant when i said that is just any other music that is drowned out by loud, overpowering, obnoxious sounds.. dont need to be so defensive just because i insult dubstep
