Literally screamed when I saw this pop up. I’ve become a Max user since your pseudo-retirement, and your tutorials have helped me more than anything else. I can already tell this video is going to help solve a bunch of issues I’ve been running into! Welcome back, for however long it may be!
YES! Me too!!! Got into max a year ago and have been binge-watching all of these videos! Started right around "The End" and thought I might never have the pleasure of seeing a fresh Delicious tutorial drop into my flow! Thank you Dudeeightthreeseven!
You make the most accessible and inspiring max content on youtube. Easy call. I would have got nowhere without you. Cycling74 are fools for not hiring you long ago.
@@dude837 Oh really, thats fucking great! Well then they should pay you extra to make more tutorials unless they already do! Anyway, great work on the actual program as well then i guess :) good to know the future of Max is in good hands!
You can use a trapezoid~ with the sync output of groove to quickly duck the volume when retriggering a sample. It's just windowing so it's probably more noticeable than the swanramp but it works I think
That's a great technique too: groove and trapezoid work great together. But like you say, it's windowing, which is something different. Would love to know if swanramp can work with groove... I have an idea but I'll have to try a couple things.
Idea: add a short sample delay after groove~ so we don't use an interpolated value for the switch and ramp. Result: Kind of works. But there's some weird dependency between waveform/frequency/delay time. So it only works someties... Example patch below if RU-vid allows it
Hi so happy to see you again! I've been enjoying your RU-vid for a while. I realized that some of your maxpatch links are not working anymore. Do you have any plan to upload your maxpatches somewhere else like GitHub?
Loving your work Sam. But this does not seem to work with 2d.wave? What would need to be added to stop X phasor~ clicks, Y phasor~ clicks and row change clicks?
wait.. live.scope~ ? is that in 8.18? here’s i’ve been trying to capture 2 periods of a waveform into a calccount only when it’s evenly divisible by two like a goddamn plebian.. [edit] omg this thing is so nice... i can throw out my scope~ abstractions now hahah - thanks for the headsup
