Stop the presses. Tried this tonight and it was KILLER. I have never had a better steak sandwich. My daughter and son in law were loving life. They couldn't believe how tender and tasty it was. This is a huge winner. THANK YOU!!!!
We did this recipe this past weekend and it was a hit. We did deviate just a bit from Malcom's approach. The ribeyes we got weren't really sized appropriately for a single sandwich, so I sliced them paper thin after they'd rested a bit following grilling. Pro tip: Try leftovers on an English Muffin for breakfast. Never not yummy.

OMG, That brought back memories of the Rib Eye sandwiches they were serving at a little bar with tables beachside in Flagler Beach, Florida during Daytona Bike Week about twenty years ago. Most awesome sandwiches that I have ever had. Overlooking all of the passing motorcycles on A1A and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, well it just doesn't seem to get any better than that. I did something like this a few years ago. Went camping and after setting up, was super hungry. Had a couple of ribeyes and some bagels. On the fire with the steaks and bagels. Five minutes later, eating like a king.
