Cottage cheese. Much creamier and really blends with mozzarella well. Nice having ravioli instead of plain lasagna noodles, and the mixture of different sauces is amazing. Spaghetti pie is delicious. So many terrific ideas.👍😋🧀🧀🧀🧀🍝🫑🧅

I love your version of these 3 recipes Catherine!😍 The cheesier the better!😋 I really like the way you changed them around to be your favorites!😘 I started using tomato soup years ago instead of the sauce or paste. Some people add sugar and we just use canned tomato soup!☺️ I've gotten to the point of making my own lasagna so I can add the things I like best!😚 I definitely approve of your spin on these recipes because that's the way I like them too!🤩 Thanks for sharing more great recipes!🥰

I saw the thumbnail and instantly clicked. I LOVE Italian food. I must have gained 10lbs just watching this video., but oh so yummy.😊😁 My goodness half way through the video and I took out my ground turkey and sausage from the freezer. You did it to me. I prefer ricotta . But great recipes. I add red wine to my tomato sauce also. It reduces acidity and adds flavor and the alcohol cooks out.

I use cottage cheese instead of ricotta. I put cottage cheese in a blender, sprinkle with Italian herbs and garlic powder and barely mix it. This mimics ricotta texture.

I prefer cottage cheese. Why did you add sugar to the first and third item but not the 2nd? Have you ever rubbed your Italian seasoning between your palms to kind of "wake it up" as you drop it into the sauce? These look great and I will be trying them all! Thanks for sharing!

The ravioli lasagna looks to be my fave, I will try it! The spaghetti Alfredo bake seems weird to mix a meat sauce with an Alfredo. The Italians I don’t think would do thus, I might be wrong on that though!

I’m Italian as well, but cottage cheese blended smooth is an inexpensive substitute for ricotta, $3 vs $8 - $10. I love cottage cheese, ricotta is grittier, but cooks smooth. I use both. My lasagna recipe from my Italian uncle actually calls for cottage cheese and it’s delicious. His recipe is the best I’ve ever eaten in my entire life, made with pork sausage and ground beef and seasoned perfectly with the addition of rosemary which makes the lasagna not just another pasta dish. Takes all day to make. Haven’t made it in years. I don’t each much and no longer entertain so I just don’t make it because it fills up a giant lasagna pan and another smaller pan. I have the recipe still. Maybe someday….
