I had to learn with manual steering, steering wheel was the size of the front wheel of the truck, had to rock the truck some to get the steering wheel to move any.
Those steering wheels were crazy I think made out of some kind of fossil bone lol I had to use an old cab over for a couple weeks with one of those steering wheels. Try backing those up and not breaking your fingers on the dash. No luxuries back then.

LOL____ most of your commenters are men, i am a straight married women, married to man, i watch for you, your dog and interesting places your go, even the rest stops, gas stations, stores, i love driving, and truck driving seems like a fun job___i also find it amazing how things get moved around our country, i have alot more respect for truck drivers now, its a hard job, we wouldnt have anything without truckers

I like delivering to frozen assets it’s way better then Chicago meat authority which is even a tighter space to maneuver into the dock door. That back up into the door was beautiful.
In summertime mix a Tbsp. of Dawn dish soap with a gallon of water and pour it into the windshield washer reservoir no need to waste money. Dish soap works well with squeaky parts as well. Like your backing skills attitude!
One very simple rule of trucking. Get in, make a quick buck and have an exit strategy in mind otherwise one can get comfortable and become a lifer. The road and its daily obstacles are an unforgiving environment and can wither away even the strongest of drivers. Safe travels.
