I'm a full-time gig worker now but when I first started off in 2017 it was with Uber eats and what was not disclosed is the 35% platform fee that I pay as a driver. So I got paid $1.20 a mile not including a 35% platform fee which comes out to. I was really only getting compensated 78 cents a mile and of course this was before Uber had rolled out tipping in the US cuz it was February, March and April no one ever had cash to tip me and unlike you I'm running around in my car not on my electric bicycle or electric motorcycle. That's why I quit doing it. It did not pay nearly enough to be worth it for me, especially since that was my only work at the time. I'm now a full-time passenger ride driver and I live with my mother and do pay her rent but it's my inexpensive cost of living that makes it so that I can actually work a reasonable schedule giving passenger rides.

wasnt a cash tip but i found $40 when i was doing a seven eleven delivery on the weekend made for a nice day, the same day i got a $16 tip the most i've gotten. than today i found a cell on the road and got a cash reward for returning it. one of th eperks of delivering on a bike i suppose you never know what you might come across in your travels.
