An Amazon Delivery Driver delivers packages to an Amazon locker. Watch Ryan show how easy it is to deliver packages to one of the Amazon lockers on his normal delivery route.
I deliver for amazon as a third party, I've only had to deliver to the lockers once, so easy and the feeling of offloading a lot of packages from my route was great :P they save so much time too.
@@Tikisune Would probably need a car or something to carry the packages in as some of the things can be heavy. Like I ordered about 20-25kg worth of things to one of those lockers.
In a perfect world, these hub lockers would be outside of every apartment complex and assisted living facility. Instead, we have to walk their package to their door, when clearly they don't want strangers inside due to clearance.
This dude has a ton of packages for that locker. I'm lucky if I get 1 package a week for a locker. Wished more people would use them. I do when I get stuff from Amazon.
Amazon needs to make buyers more aware of this. I wouldn't have seen this option during checkout if I hadn't accidentally clicked on it. Its not in the same category when choosing your shipping speed.
I started using one when we had a colored family move in across the street. Magically packages and mail on our street started going missing around that time.
Boy what a GREAT way to keep a few steps ahead of the PORCH PIRATES!!!! I have also had Amazon deliver to my office, but lately, they keep trying to deliver after hours which has gotten very annoying. So now I either use the post office or I use a locker! These lockers are very convenient, located in higher traffic places and more often than not available 24/7 and it's a lot more discreet an using your home address. Just LOVE Amazon!
This is honestly so fascinating to me. They are littered all over my area and I have yet to see one. But, Hopefully when I order From Amazon. I’ll be able to use one of these bad boys
These things are a life saver. I’ve delivered to apartments with these before. 50 packages delivered in 5 minutes. It would’ve taken me 2 hours without it. Wish we had these in residential neighborhoods too.
I deliver for Amazon flex. I’ve had few lockers that want to scan my phone for QR code. I can’t ever figure this out and can never deliver that package. Help??
Thanks for explaining how to do this in such a straight forward way. I spent 15 minutes getting nowhere trying to deliver a parcel to a locker. Gave up in the end and took it back to the depot. The flex app tutorial just tells you a load of nonsense?
This is great. I hate that Amazon won't send refurbished devices to a locker, forcing me to stay up through my night shift sleep cycle, just to keep my package from being stolen from my apartment building. And I worry about Amazon's policy on self-defense if any degenerate tries to steal anything during this process, because I would gladly kill to defend this. But other then those, this is great.
I haven't yet had to deliver to a locker. So, this was nice to see. Do wish you'd shown the app to know when you'd be delivering to a locker and show the package list for it. That aside, an informative video that will make it easier when it's my time to shine. 😉
😊Amazon's delivery locker is great, but having a Feliluke delivery box right at your doorstep is even better. It comes with a lock, can be anchored to the ground, and effectively guards against porch pirates. No more worries about stolen packages! 📦🔒
My first time doing this was yesterday I had to get rescued cuz I didn't know what I was doing I didn't know you had to bring the whole box of pckgs with you im gonna do this next time
Things such as sex toys are non-returnable amazon will not take those back and refund your money and large objects that are of large size have to be shipped through UPS or FEDEX , the Hub lockers are only for small packages.
For Amazon lockers you don't need to take a picture. For third party (non-Amazon lockers) you do need to take a picture of each package in the locker before you close the door.
Yes. If that happens there is a "Package Won't Fit" option on the screen of the locker. Select that and it will ask you to close the one that isn't big enough and then open a bigger one if there is one available.
You don't need to worry about having to be home to take the package, you don't run the risk of the driver just stashing it somewhere, or it getting stolen if stashed too visibly. And it makes the drivers life ALOT easier if many people use lockers and drivers don't have to walk to every home or run up stairs.
What bugs me about Amazon here in Britain is that their packers often put small items (such as DVD's) in oversized envelopes that won't go through my letterbox.
Is putting the phone in your pocket crucial ? Because I scanned and check in and tried to scan the box after and it wouldn’t scan , it said “ready for check out barcode” lol
very good thx but I have heard stories of items being stolen using this item. some people answered it could be due to their emails being hacked but what if the delivery man puts something else in the box of the same weight? or takes the phone of a packet and leave it inside the locker...
What happens if packages are to small for the locker door picked ? In the past I have had a package delivered to one of these lockers but the package fit really tight inside. I had to smash the package in order to get it out. Is there a override option for the person delivering the packages so that someone doesn’t have to smash their package in order to get it out?
Tricky Question since I suspect my packages got robbed by the delivery man: Is it possible to deliver 4 packages to a locker, come back on the next day and deliver one last package from the same order to the exact same locker (if there is room for it), and steal the other 4 packages leaving only the last one left. When retrieving the packages it will say to Amazon that I effectively retrieved them all... If there is no camera on place, are there any other security aspects which would avoid such a scenario ? If someone knows about this and could clear my mind I would appreciate it !
Asking for a follow up because I’m interested in getting a job as a locker team member as well but I’m not sure what they will have me do or what a locker team member does exactly
The scanning registering system is very slow and unresponsive making it annoying and time consuming for the delivery people to wait for the damn doors to open to put in the packages.
Amazon delivered to the hub locker even when I requested delivery to my front door. Since I recently had a heart attack, and I am now very weak, I appreciate deliveries to my front door rather than travel to the locker. This is my second bad experience with Amazon deliveries. The lockers make it easier for them because they are lazy.
The only way an Amazon driver is able to deliver to a locker like this is when the customer specifies it as their delivery location. You can specify your home address when you place an order. If you are in an apartment with an Amazon Hub, just write "Please deliver to front door" in the delivery instructions to help the driver know where you want it.
@@MarkTatumHere I did that and was ignored. Amazon made a previous delivery to my front door. They are lazy and prefer to dump every item in the lockers.
@@cristiandesantis6993 I promise to move mine if you get your head out of yours. I had no problems where I lived before. You know why? BECAUSE THERE WAS NO HUB NEARBY1
@@ChrisJones-fn6tw Not really. Especially when you can only load 1 package at a time. That's 5 minutes on the menu per package, imagine you have 15 packages. Not to mention the packages that the locker randomly denies that you then have to physically deliver anyways. Or the packages that people order to their doorsteps but then write on the notes to deliver to locker, not knowing that the locker wont take packages ordered to doorstep. All while praying that random customers don't need to use the locker while you are trying to load. I once had a line of people while trying to load to the locker, worst day i had working for them. Amazon lockers are by far the worst part of delivering for amazon.
In many areas they have something called Amazon Flex, kind of like Uber for Amazon where you drive your own vehicle. Most drivers work for a small Delivery Service Provider (DSP) which is contracted by Amazon. A DSP usually is given from 20 to 60 routes per day.
Ordered my friend’s birthday present to a locker because it was super convenient, secure and right next door to her job, and she said picking up the package was fun. After seeing how the lockers work, that is awesome and she would love delivering packages to a locker
i reckon amazon will put 4 or 5 of those amazon lockers on an autonomous amazon zoox so that the amazon lockers are loaded at the amazon depot and the autonomous amazon zoox is programmed to follow a certain route and people come out tp the amazon zoox locker and collect their parcel as they usually do at a fixed amazon locker etc
