It's amazing how often I cannot find help videos about Dell. You can always call Dell for help as long as the system is under warranty and 90% of the time they ace the scenario, but sometimes out of warranty, it's nice to get a walk thru loaded with helpful hints. I always appreciate someone else who has years of experience and willing to give some of their knowledge to the community. I try and do a quick show & tell whenever I'm doing a project that needs some explanation.
@@hgodtxI downloaded lifecycle 2 for R720 , it's an exe file.i put it on usb and changed the file name as CY.exe.(fat32 format). i plug this on server usb and clicked update Local drive update .then write file path CY.EXE but get error UNABLE TO VERIFY THE SIGNATURE OF THE UPDATE PACKAGE (SUP0525)
@@emre4586 It's much more complicated to do a USB drive update. I have complete video here for USB: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Or4clxA6njI.html
I used to do that method when I was updating 10+ servers a week. Now I'm averaging about 3 per month so not worth recreating that huge iso if there's an update.
I ended up having to burn a bootable iso after exhausting the other options. The ftp sites didn’t work anymore AND none of my Windows browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome) would let me connect to the IRACT7 LOM due to security (and no option to connect anyway). But AFTER the update the browsers would let me connect. But my R320 hadn’t been updated since 2012. THANK YOU for your videos on updating an old R320! I never would have figured it out (in any reasonable length of time) on my own. Turned out my server had an Express license already. I might buy an Enterprise license and nic card off of eBay if it lets me throttle down power consumption.
