For those wondering how the keyboard came off, there's a little latch that's easily flipped up before pulling it out. A few other connections are that way also. I've an old laptop that began overheating and shutting down. This video has been very helpful, but an explanation of the steps would have been appreciated. Suggestions on the type of thermal paste to get would also have been helpful. My computer is currently dismantled and I'm in the process of getting the thermal paste. Wish me luck putting everything back together! A video of the reverse process would also have been greatly appreciated. 😅
I have this lap exactly long time ago. And i want to ask about if i want to add another ram , does it must be the same type i.e ddr3 ? And which is better one ram 8gb or adding another 4gb ram to the existing one?
For the past 3 days i order this motherboard, my version is without GPU or Graphics Processor. and when my order is arrived then Unbox this i surprise my order have Graphics Processor with Heat pipe along with big Fan but i paid it with the price without GPU 😂😂 i said to seller in China THANK YOU VERY MUCH 😂😂😂
no, it is highly unlikely that the processor is upgradable. but if you just want to use excel or some other light program then i would recommend a SATA SSD, it will make the laptop feel snappy
Mine has a shit battery and I’d need to change out the thermal paste, change the HDD to an SSD and put in new ram and get a new battery. I guess I’m just gonna save up for a new laptop
Hello, I would like to ask you a question, what is this device that you remove at 6:49? because mine makes engine noise all the time. I'm on Windows 10 22h2
its probably to late now but that was the heatsink and the heat pipe. if it makes an engine sound then your fan is most likely rubbing against something.
Notebook-Center With all due respect, this is an interesting video but subtitles or an explanation might be useful along with a list of things I need before I start. As it is, I sit here wilth bits of laptop strewn about and wasn't aware that I would need thermal grease before I put it back together again. So I will order some online, then when it arrives, find I've losts bits because the cats have knocked them off or I dropped them and swept them up the next day and end up chucking the thing into the bin because several bits are missing.
@@PhyllisGlassup2TheBrim Is it so hard to find a list of things that you need for computer cleaning prior to the disassembly of your computer ? Besised it doesn't take a genius to notice that they were applying some kind of fluid, which should either make you ask a question what it is under the comment section or seek help online.
@@TheTotallyRandomGuy Thermal grease and thermal paste are the same thing. So is thermal compound, thermal goop, thermal gunk, heat paste, that gooey stuff you put between your CPU and heat sink. The terms are used interchangeably, but the brands and types vary in composition and effectiveness.
It’s one of the worst laptop model and I lost all my data in the first year due to hd failure, upgraded ssd worked fine till bios update after which both KEYBOARD AND TOUCH PAD STOPPED working and the charger doesn’t work if laptop is on if I shutdown it charges, NO MORE DELL
