A real piece of cake. One stripped screw on the side of the screen slowed me down but even with that it took me 20 minutes. Works great too, just like the original when new.

Hey, I just cracked my screen by accident and it is the exact same model as the one from the video. I was checking the service manual for this particular laptop, and the Dell service manual said I had to remove the whole screen panel to replace the screen display; it also said to remove components like the hard drive, optical drive, and many other components. Is this method a sure way to replacing my cracked display with a new one? I would appreciate your help, and thank you in advance.

please try the old screen again, if the old screen is ok and it only happens with the new screen then it's a problem with the new screen

Hey! Great vid! I dismantled my model to clean my fan. Everything went great, but unfortunately when I put it back together I cant start it. When I connect the AC adapter the right side LED blinks for a second, then nothing, no sound, no image. I cant get it to start. When I push the power button nothing happens! Do You have any guesses what could've gone wrong when I put it back together?I would appreciate any input! Merry Christmas!
