Thanks for tutorial. It wasn't my first that hard operation with laptop repair, but first with Latitiude 3520. Everything went fine, new plamrest shines. Ps. You forgot to mount your BIOS battery ;) I used my own adhesive for bottom.

Good catch! Looks like I had it in the right place, just sticky side up. Thanks for the insight. Probably not going to pose an issue as that battery is held in place by all other internal parts and bottom cover, but a point for techs to take note of. Side note, new batteries will often times have a removable cover to expose the glue like you see on this one. If a battery is reused, the stick most of the time still works, or in your case, you can apply new glue.

Replacing parts like keyboards used to be so simple. The trend toward lighter, slimmer laptops comes at the cost of being able to repair our computers ourselves. Tutorial videos like yours on YT are a life saver!! Thanks so much for taking the time to record and post this! 🙏🙏

Appreciate the feedback. I agree! Although there are still a few models out there that remove from the top of the palm rest, most of them now come from under the motherboard. Helps to learn a few shortcuts to make the job quicker and easier.

THANK YOU!! My keyboard stopped working and as a broke college student, I did not have the money to get it replaced by a professional (got a quote for 225 dollars!!). With the help of this walkthrough I was able to replace the keyboard myself with minimal difficulty. I've actually been planning this project for a while but put it off because I didn't have a clear tutorial. Not a problem anymore! Can't tell you how much of a relief it is, thank you.

At 11:25 the 'piece of tape that folds over.." seems to be to protect the wires coming from the wifi antenna to the wifi card. It seems important to protect the wires from either blocking the fan or somehow getting tangled. It just seems that in the disassemble part of the video the wires were secured with tape.

The 3520 has some upgraded features over the 3510, increased storage capacity. It’s bigger 15.6 inch display is also touchscreen. Are you planning to replace the keyboard on your 3510?
