Best laptop you can get for under 250$ used. I just bought it today, mine is half a year old and has been upgraded to SSD 128GB drive and 8GB RAM. I strongly recomend you to replace your DVD unit with an additional SSD, the speed is AMAZING! It boots up in 4.5s, and all programs work as they should. RAM also makes a diffrence. I'm a mechanical engineer so I use a lot of 3D CAD software, which requires a lot of system resources, however the video card in this laptop can handle almost anything you throw at it with ease. And the quality of the display is also excellent, especially on FHD models. Not to mention the backlit keyboard and an excellent feel to the keys. Also, the design of the laptop is brilliant - you can clean the fan simply by removing 6 screws, which is extremelly rare these days (it usually takes 2 hours, a sh*tload of your nerves and a dark-magic spell to get it clean on other mid-range laptops). Well done DELL! There is just one tiny thing - panel alligment (there are some visible gaps between diffrent plastic panels on the laptop's body, but it's not too severe). I really recomend you buying this laptop if you want a lightning-fast, reliable and cool-looking computer for work or school, or even for some light gaming.
I just bought this laptop. I find the resolution for the laptop's screen to be low (maximum of 1366 x 768). However, if you connect it using HDMI, you can get some fairly decent resolutions. I get 1920 x 1200 on my Dell monitor so that is good enough for me. You're right though - this is a great laptop. I've got the later version. I paid £400 (GBP) / $520 (USD) for it from mycheaplaptop.co.uk with a 480GB SSD and 16GB of RAM with a 2.7 GHz CPU. It's a lovely laptop and an absolute bargain.
@@byaherongmanok at that price you will not get a good video editing laptop. You need a good graphics card and you will pay a minimum of twice this price for entry level video exiting
I bought used for $250 brought to our Eastern Europe country from somewhere in US or Canada. Good thing. I installed 8 GB memory and exchanged useless DVD-ROM to the special rack with the 1 TB HDD inside. And for the main drive I put SSD 280 GB. This laptop satisfies me now as a cheap solution for my home-office.
Me compré está compu hace un año 6 mil pesos tenía el i7 quinta generación, le compre pila nueva mil pesos, trai a 4 de ram le puse otros 8 de ram mil pesos, le quite el disco duro le puse un SSD 2 mil pesos, me gaste 4 mil pesos extras y ahora tengo un PC fenomenal, en total como 10 mil pesos, 10 mil pesos y tengo un PC fenomenal.

ok this laptop is horrible, overheats way too much even when opening chrome , mouse pad stopped working for reason it only works in the menu , battery life is fucking disgusting with a max of 40 minutes of use and less if you're doing some small or heavy task such as gaming , editing , videos , drawing . if you're looking for a travel or work laptop , this isn't it, its just not it , you will need constant charging and the audio is pretty bad , no microphone or web cam makes it even worse tbh . when i say overheat , this shit will burn your hand, it overheats the keyboard making it pretty much unusable, if youre looking for a energy saving laptop this is a skip . ( edit) if you wanna watch videos the fan noise will kill you
