I have an old HP Z 440 running a E51620V3 3.5hz 32g ddr4 ECC. Samsung ssd and a basic K2200 quadro. Purchased connectors to fit an ATX PSU so I can upgrade the GPU. Gold old PC that has a small footprint. Cool video. I had an old Dell T5400 dual CPU a few years ago. Good bullet proof hardware and still reasonable in terms of power for price. I paid $240 Australian for the HP.

Theoretically it should be possible to equip the motherboard with a standard 24 pin connector, the motherboard is designed to be assembled at the factory with that option, i didn‘t tried it but according to the PCB traces and measurements with multimeter it should work without any problem. I will try this modification in a few months with one of my 3620s.

Did you ever get the ( Fan not detected error?) I used the y connectors to add more fans and I noticed you went 1:1 for each fan connector. I suspect the MOBO/BIOS does not like spltters. Great video I just did the same upgrade and it runs extremely well , Wish I done this sooner.

Have you run into any problems running the Noctua fan on the Dell 4 pin fan header? Some people say that the wiring is different from standard 4 pin and that it can harm components unless you use an adapter.

Hello. I have a precision 3620 as well. Mine got rtx 2060. And 32gb ram. And the sf750 is hard to get at a good price these days. Would a sf600 be a safe bet or is that risky in your opinion?

@@Dyl_P1ckle when you turn on the system. Start pressing the f2 key repeatedly for until it bios pops up. And depending on what you need to do I usually check out a RU-vid tutorial for messing with those settings cause it could get tricky

I had them from previous motherboard installations. Hi, I'd like to ask if it's possible to change the standard fans to other fans like the artic pwm p12 and if adding another fan would be fine. I'm thinking of adding an intake fan by removing the drive cage below and adding the fan for extra cooling for the gpu.

You can change the back fan. Dimension for the fan is 8x8.3. And is the only place that you can add a fan. The drive case can't be removed normally. Only by cutting the edges.

@@PcLaptopUpgrades What I had in minds was to remove the drive cage to add a fan in the front. And would adding a 120mm fan work and considering that my intention is to add another fan using a splitter cable, would 2 120mm fans cause problems in anyway? My setup rn is an i7 6700, gtx 1050 ti and a 290w psu.

HDD cage is riveted, and can be drilled out. Rear fan is 92mm, side should fit a 40mm, and the front depends on how much modification you want to do the front grill. You can do 80mm slanting it like a pendant, 92 and 120mm will require cutting metal or using something like washers, nuts, or spacers with zip ties for clearance. With 140mm you might be able to use a clearance method, but it’s better to just address the dimples in the front grill.

The size is 1cm but is best if you find 0,5cm to 0.3.

@@henloboppa3885got a hold of a Precision T1650. Not sure what Xeon CPU is installed. Going by the "Xeon" sticker on the front of the case. I haven't tested it yet, nor looked at the BIOS for additional info. Basically it's a workstation that was tossed out - found it in a dumpster with 3 T3620 PCs, also with the "Xeon" sticker

Yes, but you will need adapters or another method to address the pwr button, possibly temp sensor, possibly the intrusion switch, and front I/O along with the obvious PSU adapter.
