Thanks for the Video. It's very good. Disconnecting the battery cable and reattaching it (and attaching the battery side it quite difficult). The battery I got from Dell was just a battery. I had to disconnect the battery cable and reattach it to the new battery (which was a bit tricky). To detach the battery cable from the laptop I couldn't remove it the way you did it. The rectangular ridge I pulled the back of that with my finger nail and it moved. It was quite hard to put back in. A lot of pushing to get it to move in. All very delicate. You could easily break it. I am hoping not to have to repeat this. I think you'd easily break something. I think its a pity laptop makers aren't forced to make batteries user replaceable.

Two plastic shimmies on each side of the battery cable connector tab did the trick for me. You MUST use the right tools and finesse or you can break something or get a static discharge that ruins your hair 😅

my battery cable doesn't disconnect. you have to flip over your existing battery and take the tapes off before you can replace a new one

My battery came straight from dell with no cable either, after a lot of head scratching I finally realized I needed to angle the cable bracket up (almost 45 degrees) then simply pull it out. There are no pins locking in the cable or anything, but the way it’s recessed causes it to be surrounded by plastic edges that don’t allow you to pull it out unless it’s angled upward Then to put it in the new one, you don’t slide it in, you sort of just pop it down Incredible how Dells own replacement documentation doesn’t even talk about this considering they don’t even provide a cable attached to their replacement battery…

not accurate, much harder to get lid off and you only need a torx 5 , not a whole set of screwdrivers to remove the cover. you also do not show which screwdriver you need for the battery itself or how delicate the connector to the battery is. You need to divide this up onto steps with closeups. You clearly do not know how to present instructional material. You need Only 3 tools...instead you want to drive people to Amazon instead of giving them correct information and a well laid out plan to replace the battery...look for the 9500 manual on the dell site
