I just had an EY digital interview for a senior business analyst role via hirevue. When I received the invite I assumed it was a video interview, because they mentioned other candidates would be asked the same questions and the answers will be recorded, but this was not the case. 😂I got all dolled up lighting and all but It felt like an assessment. I was asked 28 questions with approximately 18 based solely on the job description. The rest were around your education, salary expectations, willing to relocate etc. So when they say e.g must have 4 years experience in business analysis in finance domain etc, in the job description the question will literally ask you to describe how and where you gained the 4 years business analysis experience. You provide your answers in a text box (4k character limit I think ) And with no time limit for all the questions. Sounds easy right ??Don’t underestimate it!! Moral of the story: Confirm interview or assessment structure with the recruiter before over prepping and stressing Watch out for these first round “digital interviews”😅 Stay blessed people ❤
Hi Sharon! Companies change the interview format all the time. The video interview portion will be similar to what you see in this video. Keep in mind the questions might change. Good luck!
Hey there! You'll get questions that combine the values we discuss in the video with role-specific issues. So you might be asked to walk through how you would start investigating why a company is losing sales. Good luck with your interview!
Yes, there will be a button where you can stop the recording. In fact, we strongly suggest you use it! Don't needlessly extend your answers. Say what you have to say and end the recording. Good luck with the interview!
Hi, I subscribed for the premium subscription and have been ongoing a series of practice questions. However, for the AI feedback I keep getting a not ideal monotone section. Could you please assist me with what this means and they way I could improve? Thanks
Case study questions can often appear in HireVue interviews especially if you are applying for a consulting position. As you can imagine, the format of a HireVue often keeps these case studies quite conceptual and high level, with the way in which you strategize and approach the answer getting more attention under the spotlight. In summary: The position, the firm, and the setup of the HireVue process all have an effect. For the best guidance we suggest reaching out to the hiring firm directly! 🤓
Hi Rohit. Those three companies sometimes ask questions on current affairs, or a piece of news that caught your eye. So yes, get ready to answer questions on a broad variety of topics! Good luck with the interview!
